Some good news to report....

I'm starting to hear back from more of the editors and journalists. Some were aware of the petition and some were not. The Missoulian has been short staffed but is aware of it and plans to run a story possibly tomorrow. Shaun Rainey also plans a mention on his newscast. The Kaimin is looking into it but hasn't commited to a story, yet.

Just glad it might get some media attention. Keep sharing it and keep making folks aware of it. Thanks for your help!

Bobby Hauck is 1 million percent the right guy for UM.

His maturity and mentorship he gained at SDSU has been huge to his development. He's always been a great recruiter and coach, now he's added a tremendous new perspective and new goals for UM. The University of Montana is in great hands with the new and improved Bobby Hauck.

Agreed. Before this petition, our only representation on the issue was those strongly opposed and the extremist ready to threaten rape and murder on those that were opposed. Obviously this petition isn't needed to help Bobby keep his job, he's got it. It was needed to show that the vast majority are people who truly understand the situation and support Bobby and believe that what the opposition is saying is not Bobbys fault for one, and just mostly untrue for another. Don't get me wrong, I'm not meaning to minimize the issue but for how the football team and staff has been villinized by the opposition is mostly unwarranted.

IMPORTANT UPDATE - Shaun Rainey is the only sports journalist to write me back thus far. He is aware of the petition and will be including it in his Monday sports broadcast. That is positive news!!

Quick update of where this has been:

I don't know when this will fizzle out but a statement has been made.

- I've sent it directly to Kent and received a response that he was glad we made him aware of it
- been shared to the Montana Grizzlies Fans FB page
- been shared on the Cat-Griz Insider FB page
- shared to my personal FB and Twitter accounts and countless others
- tweeted directly to Coach Hauck, Aime Just (Missoulian), Nick Puckett (Kaimin), Missoulian page, and Kaimin page
- tweeted directly to Skyline Sports and Kyle and Colter
- tweeted directly to President Bodnar
- tweeted directly to Shaun Rainey
- direct tweet to Sheila Stearns
- got a response from someone close to Hauck saying they appreciate the kind effort and that people tend to forget they are human, too
- best part....the number of awesome supporting comments made toward the Coach directly on the petition page.
- George Ferguson, any love you can give this from a media standpoint??

Griz Nation is awesome. I'm going to keep sharing it and tagging media outlets as well. You guys rock!

I was just the guy who initiated this as an avenue for our voices to be heard. I don't necessarily want to be the name/face of it all as I feel it was an E-Griz and Griz Nation effort who got this rolling, together.
