i can see it now: a tag-team, texas tornado death match between greenie, ggie, and re(forward slash is also broken)min versus florio, kato (sp broken question mark), and the petition chick. in a cage, i presume.

i'm betting that one of the supposed journalists bites greenie's leg and blames it on jimmy wilson.

I think for a lot of us, trying really hard to please unpleasable people and to be liked by everyone finally becomes too much work. Don't like me? Ok. Mistreat me? You don't exist. Then...every remaining relationship is the real deal; truly authentic. And letting go of caring about the inauthentic ones leaves SO much room to truly appreciate and care about everyone who remains. It's a great place to be!

Why do you and all of the Missoula media allow multiple people to say or write stuff like this (below) and not ask or challenge them for their support and backup?

"Hauck's detractors argue his tenure contributed to a climate that led to federal investigations of the campus for mishandling sexual assault and blemished the flagship's reputation."

That statement is absolutely not true. There is not one shred of evidence to support that statement.

There were no sexual assault claims or charges against players in the 7 years Hauck was at UM. Yes, one Missoula kid recruited while Hauck was the coach, plead guilty to sexual assault almost 3 years after Hauck left for UNLV. Jordan Johnson was recruited by Coach Pflugrad, not Hauck. Pflugrad had known Johnson and his dad for many years, and Pflugrad's son and Johnson played at the same high school in Eugene when Pfugrad was coaching for Oregon. Johnson committed to UM in early January when Pflugrad was the head coach. My source is Pflugrad. I call him last week to verify.

Also, Johnson was acquitted, never kicked out of UM, never lost his scholarship, was allowed to play 2 2 more years, and was later paid $245,000 by UM for the unfair treatment UM gave him.

And not one of Hauck's recruits were involved in any of the other UM sexual assault proceedings that occurred years after Hauck left. And, as you should know, those proceedings didn't go anywhere for anyone who bothered to get a lawyer to fight them. Not one player who got a lawyer to help fight the proceeding got kicked out of school. In fact, they won their UM proceedings.

"Contributed to the climate"? Can you or anyone you talk to, explain how Hauck contributed to the climate. The feds didn't come to UM until about 25 years after Hauck departed for UM. UM and Missoula handled, or mishandled, sexual assault. Not Hauck.

And Hauck didn't cause the enrollment decline either. Enrollment was going up steadily while Hauck was at UM, and enrollment continued to go up for 2 years after he left. It was 4 years after he left before enrollment had a significant drop. In year 3, it dropped about 250, after many years of growth.

Are the Missoulian, the Kaimin, people like Lisa Davey and the 28 professors incapable of showing any objectivity or doing any research?

One more thing, Keila. Let's have a discussion/debate. Soon. I've lined up my friend Stacey Coulter. See her op-ed or writing coming up in the Independent. She's a Griz fan and victim's advocate/expert. I think I've got Bring Wahlberg lined up (he's kind of shy). The 3 of us will take on Cato/Kato of the Missoulian (or you), Puckett of the Kaimin, Lisa Davey, and the women prof who wrote the letter for the 28 profs. Kyle Sample or someone neutral but knowledgeable about Griz athletics can moderate. The subject will be the topics/statements in the articles in the Missoulian and Kaimin, Davey's petition, and the professors' letter.

My group is ready. We know subject and the facts. We've followed the facts for years. We know a lot of the people involved.

Great job Hookedon & GGNez! Just saw a very balanced report on the news. I think it carries a lot of weight given your credentials and background GG when you speak up for what is fact, and what is myth surrounding Haucks connection, or lack thereof, with what has been labeled by so many as a scandal.
