Moorehead played 36 minutes, tied with Rorie. Obviously, Travis wants Moorehead out there, and must not care about the 3's. Hall had 21 in the first half, and 5 in the second half. Did you see Moorehead guarding Hall alot in the second half? I sure did. Moorehaead played 19 minutes in the 2d half, one more than Rorie.

I'm fine with Moorehead shooting 3. He's bound to get the shot back sooner than later.

My thought too. Thought Griz were quite a bit better than the Cats. Cats hung in there, tho, and bugged the Griz at times. Having Akoh get 2 fouls early hurt the Griz.

I count Hall as guard too. I wouldn't trade Rorie or Oguine for any of the Cat guards. Think UM shot 78'% from the line. UM had a lot of free throws. 25-32.

The refs called way too many fouls. 45 against Cats; 20 against Griz. 2 of the Cat fouls were intentional at end. Some were ridiculous. No need. No advantage. Went both ways. The white haired ref is a good ref. One of the dark haired guys isn't very good.

Went to the game. Their atmosphere was pretty good and the crowd was into it for most of the first half. The student section wasn't as raucous as I would expect for a rivalry game. I think one of the Grizzlies emphasis on D was to limit what Frey was getting. They made all his shots very tough and he never really got in a Rhythm. Hall you just have to hope he misses, and he didn't do that very much, he's much better this year than he looked last year. They played really good D on Akoh for most of the game. We did well though with the high/low between Akoh and Pridgett (when they weren't in foul trouble.) How about Mike hitting his FT tonight? Picked a good time to get it on track. And how about Mack Anderson getting some PT and making the most of it with the sorta-dunk and then the alley-oop? I'm sure he was stoked to get that one in his hometown! I was excited for the kid. Overall it was really fun night and a lot of cat fans left before it was really decided...

Cool. Must have been fun.

Akoh played only 8 minutes in first half. Didn't take a shot. Ended up 3-4. 12 points. He got fouled alot. Only 6-12 from line. Ended up with only the 2 fouls. Had 6 rebounds and 3 TO. Only 1 rebound the first half. He was plus 9 when he was int he game, the highest for the Griz by far. Pridgett was about plus 6.

The stats list Brown as having played 1 minute. Great production per minute.

Hall was 10-20 and 4-9. He can score, of course, and make some tough shots, but I don't really like how he plays.

I wouldn’t trade either, nor was it a thought. I am not against giving an opponent credit. Hall went OFF the first half and MSU led by 2 mostly just because of those two. Frey had 8 assists at half. I said “so far” at half meaning I thought it was an important matchup because our guards are great. UM guards >> MSU guards second half and we won.

Morehead played good D. Hall caught fire the first half the minute he sat. That is why he came right back in, but there was no slowing Hall down at that point.

That's possible. I don't recall hearing that specifically. Mostly just their go to, ESG GCG.

I was surprised the crowd wasn't more into the game after halftime when they had stolen the momentum. Good for us.
