They tried to adjust it to a dribble drive offense but they never ever figured out the spacing. I don't know how many times the ball was pushed out and the spacing was so poor that 1 defender could guard 2 guys.

I have never heard of a dribble-drive offense. To me, that is just a one-on-one thing after a team can not get a good look from running their offense.

Interesting, Legans is way more tolerable being interviewed than when he’s on the sideline coaching.
I see the San Jose State job just opened up. Not the most attractive job in the world but Legans is a St. Mary’s alum and has ties to the area. He turns that program around and he’ll have a shot at a big time job. Would he be interested? 🤔

Is San Jose St really a step up?

The rookie analyst can pontificate all they want but with all the bitching and moaning but we just got out hustled and out played. And not because our guys weren’t trying but two things determined this game in my opinion. Fatigue and game plan. Leggins is no dummy, in fact he is a very good coach and recruiter. All he had to do was watch how we attacked Weber and then challenge us to beat them from the outside. By packing the middle he gambled we would have tired legs and he was absolutely right. Athletically I don’t think they are any better then the Griz but tonight they were. If you’ll remember last year or maybe the year before we beat them by almost 30 in their house. Last night was our emotional game and with young players they couldn’t do it again.
Congratulations to Travis and the staff for getting us this far with all the issues he had to deal with this year. Suspensions, defections and injuries took its toll but we will be back. Travis is a great coach and he will find the pieces to take us back to the top of the BSC.

Most important coach for the next 8 months is the strength coach. Everyone needs at a minimum 15 pounds. 2 pounds a month should be doable,

This is all well and good if you want to discard the other 2 beatdowns that EWU game the Griz this season.

I would add whatever coach might be able to keep the majority of the young core together if some of the rumblings that I am hearing are true.

They can pay more but that's really about it, unless he wants to take on the challenge of rebuilding a program. Maybe New Mexico would give him a look??? I doubt it though cause those guys think so high and mighty of themselves and will try to shoot for the moon.

Good point! I obviously don’t have any inside information but one look at Verbal Commits Twitter based on other school’s losses would seem to indicate that Montana will at least lose 2 out and of its young core. And if the NCAA allows a one-time transfer without having to Redshirt would increase those chances.

There are already close to 400 players in the portal and everyone’s season hasn’t ended yet. If you think our California player’s AAU coaches aren't getting calls from college coaches, you don’t understand college basketball.

Based on that I also don’t think young players are as important as they once were. Weber had 9 new players in a COVID restricted year and were one of the best teams in the conference.

Shantay Legans never went to St. Marys.....he originally went to Cal, then transferred to Fresno St. to finish his college career.....But who really cares?

People can’t keep dropping these bombshells, not elaborate, and not expect people to not go crazy from anticipation.

Yep you're right! I knew it was somewhere in the bay area. Not quite sure why I thought St. Mary's, but you're right. Who really cares?
