Truth Hurts

Neither QB won the big game, it would just be who won more playoff game.
You seem like the most logical of the cat posters here. Kinda like the smartest kid in the dumb row.
I appreciate that you did not say "playoff games" (i.e., plural) cuz obvsly LBT(tebow) aint gonna win multiple playoff games. Thanks for being realistic. Or was that just a freudian slip?

I like Henderson and Takai but neither of them has done anything to warrant being on this list. This is about players that have produced on the field and are just better than other players. I took a reach with Van but when you watch him work it wasn't much of one.

Alpha, unless you're counting off the field troubles as a reason not to be on the list, the one other guy I think is missing is Trevor Poole. Poole would take just about anybody's starting job on another Big Sky team.

So let's take a break to summarize what we've covered so far:

-- Some Griz players would start for other teams.
-- Some wouldn't.
-- JJ is good.
-- DM is good.
-- Kirk is good.
-- Van may be good.
-- Griz fans like Griz players.
-- Cat fans like Cat players.

I'm a Griz fan who likes Cat players. I've had a love/hate man crush on DM for years now. I think we've also learned MSU backups like Coe/Bleskin/Prukop, ect are actually better than their starters according to some experts.

I don't think Northern Colorado would trade Bumpas.
I don't think NAU would trade Bauman.
Shaw was 6th in punting in the conference last year... and Wilder from NAU (#1) is back.
JJ would start for everyone except for maybe MSU and Sac.
Van hasn't played a down yet.

Othern than that, I wouldn't argue too much. I'd be lying if I said most of those guys wouldn't start at MSU, but it's all hearsay. JJ wouldn't this year, Van wouldn't this year, Shaw wouldn't this year, Kidder probably wouldn't. I'd take your LBs on that list and the OL though if you're just giving them away. :)

Monte and three of the Sugar Bears, and seven drunken tailgaters could start for the Cats, and show a remarkable improvement, at least in playoff games.

Really! Three sugar bears is a bit of a reach don't you think? I think two, but three is a reach.

I would take Bleskin over the Irish Lad

Wow...HavFan....that Milk River water you've been drinking has been working wonders  Jump on the bandwagon.....there's room!!! To respond in kind I'll give a few props to JJ.....I think he will have more rushing yards than DM....less interceptions....and a higher QB rating. I'll give the nod to DM on TD passes and passing yards. As the best player in the conference.....neither.....that goes to Zack Bauman.

I find it quite puzzling that a lot of posters on this board put a lot of emphasis on wins in the playoffs determining the talent of the QB's. They will never builld any monuments to John Edwards the QB on the last NC chipper....when most posters will agree that Ochs, Miller, Ah Yat were much better QB's....but didn't have the good fortune to have the stud players surrounding them that Edwards had.

WOW, just wow!

YEAH,, because EVERYONE wants a 3 TIME LOSER QB that couldn't accomplish squat in the playoffs versus a QB that dominated in his playoff run. GOOD CHRIST, will the insanity ever end in bozangeles?
  Thats Hilarious!!! LMFAO!! I quit commenting on a lot of post cuz of the scat fans and these foolish thoughts. I will say that I think DM is an ok QB. He would get more respect if he could lead his team to a semi final or an NC (  ) appearance. Until then, he is one of the cats greatest players.... That made it to a quarter final game. C'mon Man!!

Well - at least we are clear what the requirements are to be a good quarterback and not a loser. Guess there are a lot of losers out there (including former Griz quarterbacks who never made it to the semi's and NC).

Pretty f*cking cool how you all run student athletes down

Teton, I don't jump on or off bandwagons..I stick. I've been a Vikings and Cubs' fan my entire life. Those two teams right there have given fans plenty of reason's to jump off but loyal ones don't! I'm not interested in, nor have ever had any inclination to jump on the MSU wagon. Sorry. But what makes me different than some fans in huge sports rivalries is that I can actually RESPECT players on the opposing team. I respect DeNarius McGhee on and off the field, it's that simple. It's that cut and dry. I don't have a bad thing to say about him, and I actually don't think MSU's playoff failures are as much his fault as a lot of people want to believe.

I just believe that in college rivalries, you don't need to hate the other team's players or start nasty threads (ALA J.J., Jordan Tripp and Trevor Poole threads on BN recently) about them on message boards in order to uphold the tradition of the rivalry.

Yeah some harsh stuff on BN about those guys . . . glad that crap doesn't happen over here on egriz!

Well by the way Dingleberry McGhee took a knee to end the Griz/scat last season, I don't mind running him down. Real classy of him. He acted like they had a real accomplishment. OooO good job, beat up an already busted up team. What a loser.

Simply admire the "creativity" in hate. I'm glad it is for a real reason like taking a knee at the end of a game and celebrating a win over a rival instead of doing something weird like writing "FTG" on his arms or committing a crime. Yup, the kid (like the majority of student athletes) deserves vile treatment from fans for working his butt off, playing hard and putting up solid numbers.

As I said before, I'm glad this crap doesn't happen on egriz. Right havrgrizfan?

He must have been so proud to get that huge win of a 9 point margin over the 2012 Grizzlies. Considering that there was a newspaper clipping of the blow out of 2011 that stayed taped to a wall in their locker room for full year. They should be happy they didn't have to face the 2011 Griz again. They faced SHSU and had the almost exact same results. Honestly tho, how many times are they gonna piss on the toilet seat before they learn lift it up??

Mthead, does my post at ANY TIME say Griz fans don't do the same thing? Nope, try another approach please. I don't speak for Egriz or any other Griz fans. I speak for myself and you won't find a SINGLE post of mine in how many ever I have where I have bashed a Bobcat player. However, I will challenge you to find five threads on Egriz with the a title that is completely devoted to bashing a Cat player. I can find the McGhee one so you're down to finding four. I can find five on Bobcat nation in about five minutes.
