Trumaine Johnson

Holy shit you just compared DRUNK driving to those things........

You have never drove after having some wine or a few beers with dinner before? How is the polishing on your Ivory Towers looking?

There is a big difference between what PR was talking about and drinking and driving. I drink and drive all the time but I'm not dumb enough nor not talented enough to get caught. Alpha gave me the tricks of the trade.

I don't get the whole, "If you have ever driven after having a few drinks you can't say anything ever again." Nobody here is saying Trumaine is a horrible person and should be sent to jail for life. I have been in trouble with the law when it comes to alcohol so I don't think I'm better than Tru. I'm just saying he needs to be smarter and not take risks like that. The report says he was driving with no headlights and refused a breath test. I like Tru as a person. Hopefully he learns from this and moves on.

St. Louis Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson appears more likely to incur a fine than a suspension relating to his recent DUI arrest in Montana.

JohnsonThat could change if details emerge showing aggravating circumstances.

According to KPAX News, Johnson refused to take a breath test after an officer stopped him for driving in the dark without use of headlights.

Johnson's arrest comes less than two years after officers arrested him for getting "out of control at a party" in an incident authorities described as alcohol-related, one in which officers used a taser to subdue Johnson and one of his then-teammates at the University of Montana.

Johnson, one of three cornerbacks on the Rams' roster, played about one-third of the defensive snaps as a rookie third-round choice last season. He figures prominently into plans for the future along with starters Cortland Finnegan and Janoris Jenkins. Johnson played at Montana with Rams coach Jeff Fisher's son.

The NFL generally does not suspend first-time offenders of its policy relating to alcohol abuse in the absence of what it calls aggravating circumstances. Johnson, with no known alcohol-related incidents since entering the NFL, would appear more likely to incur a fine of two game checks.

"We are aware of the situation regarding Trumaine Johnson," a statement from the Rams read. "We are gathering more information and will have no further comment at this time."

A decent chunk of change.

Well outside of the fact that I think drinking and driving is incredibly stupid, especially when you're a professional athlete...it just sets a bad example when you have multiple incidents with the law in a short amount of time. He should be smarter than that and work to avoid those situations.

Alpha just called. Him and his drunk mexican girl are drunk in some bar and need a ride. I have checked eight bars so far and I can't find him and or her.

Now after having a beer or two in each saloon I am begining to forget who I'm looking for and why I started out in the first place.

If I run into any of you I will buy you a cold one.

Tell old whats his name (if you see him) I was looking for him.......

Should any of us be surprised?

Too bad. Will be interesting to hear the circumstances. Obviously, he ought to be more careful. So anyone with the potential for a dui should move to St. Louis or move out of town? Now that's pretty funny. Just out of curiosity, what does Trumaine "have to lose" over a dui citation? You self-righteous types make me chuckle. I like Tru. I'm glad he and UM's other NFL players come back to Missoula.

Ask Josh Brent what an NFL football player has to lose by drinking and driving, or anybody for that matter. He lost a long time friend and current teammate, is no longer making good money playing a game he loves and will most likely spend some time in jail.

And before you jump me I don't dislike Tru nor do I care if it's Tru or anyone else. Drinking while driving is a bad decision that can cause a lot of harm to yourself and others. And while I know it happens and other people do it and don't get caught, it's still not a good decision.

FWIW, my son-in-law bailed him out and said he seemed completely sober. My point being, at least he wasn't wasted, prolly just a bit over the limit.

FWIW....a bit over the limit....is still over the limit. It is impaired... thus put other innocent people at risk.

Let's go back to this again, innocent until proven guilty. Sorry, but I have little faith in the Zoo's PD. Let them sue themselves back to the stone age.
I agree, it's those damn donut eating cops in Missoula. I am sure Tru is being setup!

Oh, I agree! My limit is one. If I've even taken a sip of a second beer, I will not drive.

I wasn't defending Tru's actions.

Respect as a human being that doesn't put others in danger while behind the wheel.

So anyone that ever gets a DUI is less than human? Gotcha.

Since this site doesn't have a spoiler: Anyone that makes a mistake should be sent to a lifetime of hard labor in Siberia
I never said that. The question was asked "what does he have to lose." I said "Respect." I'm sorry that is tough to understand since I left the comma out before 'respect.'

I like to ride my bicycle, I like to ride my bike......

Not to change the subject but the MPD are fairly inept in doing anything other than issuing traffic tickets.

So you will lose all respect from your brother/aunt/son/etc... if one of them have one too many glasses of wine with dinner and get pulled over for not signaling and end up with a DUI?
