Time to Weed the Program

Well sure. When the two Montana schools have a combined 100+ Montana kids on their rosters (whether they belong there or not), then it will ALWAYS appear that Montana produces more D1 players. It’s due largely to the Montana schools’ misguided belief that more Montana players is better.

We looked slow and unathletic on Saturday. There’s really only one way to fix that, and it’s not by recruiting more kids from Montana that should be playing Frontier ball (even if they DO come on as walkons).

UM has more speed than NDSU, by the way. UM likes MT kids because they set good examples and lead the team in work ethic, meaning lead as leaders. Also, UM, and MSU, can't afford to pay for out-of-state tuition of lots of out of state scholarship players.
UM has more speed then NDSU? You are totally confused Nigel, this one goes to eleven now doesn’t it. Lol,

Direct comment from the Griz coaches. NDSU bigger. So, now you know more than the coaches too? You are amazing.

Didn’t win many (any) foot races last Saturday during the game…..

Do you think the coaches are always right?

I believe anyone on this board could have coached a team to give up 450 yards of rushing. It would be really difficult to give up more yards than that unless it was on purpose.

I just looked, and a Minnesota student can attend NDSU for around $12,000 per academic year for tuition. Out of state tuition at Montana is $27,000.

It used to be reciprocal tuition wise. Student paid resident tuition in either state. NoDak kid paid MN in state tuition and vice versa. Started around 1970 about the time I started HS.

Here's the skinny at the frozen tundra:

It is hard for me up believe the Griz are faster than NDSU when that didn’t show on the field at all. Which team had more explosive plays? If the Griz are faster, why don’t the coaches scheme it up to get them the ball more?

Apparently when it comes to evaluating team speed I do. Are you drunk by chance?

I would give up more yards if I was the coach. If they made me the coach for one game the best thing they could do is duct tape my mouth shut, blind fold me and tie my hands behind my back so I can’t signal anything or communicate. I guarantee the players could coach themselves better than I could. Although I would be real good at encouragement when they did good and I could yell and cuss the hell out of them when they gave up a big play. Shit, I talked myself into it. I am applying. I know people too if you know what I mean. Wave to me on the sidelines next year. Exciting! What color hat will I wear?

Sure didn't look like it when they were running 70 yards untouched to endzone.
