Yes, the offensive line is susceptible, but having an immobile QB only magnifies its weaknesses. Moving the pocket, rolling out Brady, and QB keepers are not even an option right now. These could be options to buy more time for our receivers to run their routes further down field. Right now, due to Brady's immobility, quick passes are the norm because defenses just tee off on him and our offensive line. We are very predictable offensively and so what is wrong with trying Chalich just to keep defenses off balance every so often?[/quot
One of the wiser more salient posts I've seen on this topic...sadly it appears to make too much sense to be employed by our current coaching staff.![]()
How do you explain UM being no. 6 in the nation in Red Zone offense so far this year? The Red Zone, as you know, is from the 20 and in. 34 attempts, the most in the top 9 teams). 7 rush TD's and 16 pass TD's. 16 pass TD's the 2d best in the nation.
So, your argument is that BG isn't very good inside the 20, even though he has the second most passing TD's inside the 20 in the nation, and UM is 6th in the nation in Red Zone offense? This is one of the reasons for stats. It shows that people who make assertions not backed up by stats are wrong.
