Rahac already has a story out on these ex-griz football players! And the beat goes on! Were they recruited by Hauck or Phlugrad?

Who gives a $hit, troll?!

They were once Griz, and now they're horrible exuses for human beings.

Now, go play in the street.

They were Hauck. However Badger and Donald Lisowski were retained by Phlu when involved in a fight sometime ago. There was a pretty strong, row on campus at the time, but they were part of the let the "system run its course days" apparently it did. as the thing was for the most part settled out of court, it never happened (in PRs world,) so wasn't part of the "culture" needing change

No different, just like Gatewood and compnay at MSU. People don't make a distinction. I can't beleive how fast Rahac came out with the story in the Gazette.

Already have pictures posted in Griz unis on newsites here in Billings. Doesn't matter if they are ex-Griz to most folks.

No, it doesn't matter. In the paralell universe of MSU, Kramer was fired when ex players (not on the roster) murdered a kid. Many, many boosters had had enough, and the thought of bringing vile, murdering dirtbags to town put them over the edge. MSU was going down the road of 'win at all costs', and had to burn the program to the ground (not far to go, mind you) and start over.

UM's continued bad press is leading to the same path, IMHO. Not a gouge here, I just see so many similarities, it's hard to ignore.

I wonder how long a school can be held accountable for the actions of former students (including former athletes)? I know it is in vogue to bash rival schools for this but seriously what is the statute of limitations? 5, 10, 20 years, when? Hindsight is 20/20 and shows that many, many people should never have walked the campus let alone wear an athletic jersey but how can anyone know how anyone else is going to turn out? You deal with what you have at the moment with your best gut instinct then it is up to the individual to have a clue. We seem have abdicated personal responsibility and want to blame anyone and everyone else for personal failures. Sure, it was a mistake letting these idiots anywhere near the U of M but now they are grown-ups and are solely responsible for their own behavior. Try 'em and if convicted lock 'em up and move on. I can't imagine the value of trying to blame anyone else for the road that they have chosen.

If any Cat fan is loving this, then they should have their head examined. This is not good for anyone, Especially the poor person that was beaten.

I don't see anyone claiming there is disctinction, troll. So as usual, we're left to try and figure out WTF you're blabbering about.

And you can't believe how fast the story is out?? Yeah, there's these new things called "computers" and the "internet". Pretty fascinating if you look into them. :msugrad:

Right, and that's why Kramer got a settlement from MSU. Two wrongs don't make a right, as they say.

No, I believe Kramer was fired "without" reason and then Fields came out and cited a bunch of reasons, and Kramer sued for defamation of character.

I could be wrong though, don't remember much for specifics from that whole mess.

Which is why, contrary to the opinion on this board, Engstrom did the correct thing by not stating a reason. He's saving the state taxpayers some bread.

Ha this just got hilarious on FB. Gwen just responded to Brint in a very mature way. Sigh...(being sarcastic, of course.) Good ol Gwen.

And Rachac has the story out becasue Lee Enterprises owns both the Missoulian and the Gazette. So all he has to do is copy and paste.

Come on guys... why is everyone rushing to conclusions on this? There may be a way here for these guys to avoid prosecution as long as they get good legal representation... which is what's really important here. PR?

The opinion of this board seems to be that Engstrom shouldn't have fired Pflugrad or O'Day. I'm not sure Engstrom not stating a reason is the main concern.

BW isn't taking any crap today. First he takes down a former offensive coordinator thinly vailed as a new e-griz poster and then goes toe-to-toe with the fourth estate. How do you sell houses with that kind of schedule?

Well at least Gwen Florio is admitting that the Missoulian was scooped by egriz. I don't know how many times the news is reported first by egriz before being cut and pasted by GF. Very accurate report, BW, as always.
