Everybody is certainly entitled to an opinion. Paoli's treatise sounds damning as it should, its his job if it didn't I'd be concerned. So should any closing argument in a trial. I haven't seen any documents from the University.

Guilty or innocent - everyone is entitled to a fair trial & due process. Every individual is entitled to present their case & defend themselves & their actions. If it is found that JJ has committed the crime, throw his ass out of Montana. We do not want criminals representing our school, or our state.

Students hear about things like this way before the Missoulian does. Stuff like this spreads like wildfire on campus. Many students new that this crap was going on in the "honor court" before the Missoulian could print a story.

These are a group of students who often comment on these things. But, the women are "vocal." They expressed their opinion apparently a da**** sight faster than the alleged victim in the JJ situation. At UM, contrary to the current meme, women are articulate and do stand up for themselves; it may one of a number of reasons the assault rate is lower than MSU's.

Unless you are a troglodyte and believe otherwise, it is possible for women to be articulate and have opinions.

I'm tired of hearing it. Its not scientific by any means but its about 10 to one against the Athletic Department and interestingly the boosters. The document release stirred things up again. Saying "I don't know, sounds bad, hope it works out," isn't enough. No matter where folks stand, they are likely to climb down your throat.

BTW generally nothing gets to the Honor Court unless the Dean thinks they are guilty. It wasn't so long ago he made those decisions by himself.

Personally, the reaction I’ve heard is about 10-1 the other direction, ranging from clients, neighbors, etc. Some Griz fans, some not.

In my office I keep hearing someone will be gone from the University by the end of summer, the bets are riding on Engstrom being the one to go 11 to 1

Wrong on so many levels. You are trying to masquerade as an unbiased poster but your bias and lies are showing. The Honor Court has been in the UTU agreement since at least 1987 and I know because I was the student complaint officer for ASUM for three years. You are full of shit, plain and simple. The Dean is NOT supposed to make a determination of guilt or innocence, but rather the Dean is to run the Court objectively. The members of the Court are to hear evidence and decide the merits. The Dean in this case, according to a Federal Judge, did things that shocked him and violated due process, yet you have no problem with it. Mr. Couture unmasked?
