The 3-3-5 defense

That is true but u don’t see us using the triple option on offense. Why would we use the equivalent on defense. But SDSU absolutely destroyed it in Frisco so why is that? Well if u notice, this year we had them at home and they were not even close to that team we played in Frisco that had 6-7 players drafted and they were no where close to being healthy this year in the playoffs. USD at home also and they were not a great team either. Good but not great and please don’t say anything about the Mercer game.
USD got a lot better as the season progressed. They are a competent team in the trenches as far as size goes. UND who we also beat was as well.

no that does not mean the same ur talking apples and figs. That is exactly what I'm saying and if I was wrong, you would be able to name 1 team that runs it that is a dominant defense, that wins all the time, and that wins championships. And name 1 NFL team that runs it. My point is that if the 3-3-5 is so great, why are not every NFL, Big Ten, SEC and all the FBS Playoff teams running it and according to the schools given above, only NE fits into any of those categories being they are in the Big Ten. They don't because it sux and its a gimmick defense.
With the size of the offensive lineman, the 3-3-5 would get destroyed in the SEC and Big Ten

ISU runs a different variation of the 3-3-5 than we do.

I know people are throwing around a lot of Ferris State chatter, but they switched to a 4-2-5 scheme this last offseason and it paid off for them.

That said, I think as long as Bobby is here, he's going to run the Rocky Long 3-3-5. I don't think it's going anywhere. I join a lot of people here in feeling frustrations with it, though.

I thought you were talking about Indiana University and the Big Ten.

ISU did run the 3-3-5 but is the Big 12 on par with the Big Ten and SEC?

Nope, and remember if you're talking about Matt Campbell formerly of Iowa State, if he tries to use the 3-3-5 @ Penn State, he might have some success playing Northwestern, Rutgers and the other MSU, I don't think he's beating Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon playing the 3-3-5. !!!

2023 National Championship, Jan. 9, 2023, Big 12 vs. SEC:

Georgia ( SEC ): 65

TCU ( Big 12, 3-3-5): 7

( I am sorry for beating a dead horse 🐎, but outside of the occasional conference championship--like TCU-- no college or pro team recently and only Villinova in 2009 FCS NC over us 23-21--has won a national championship or in the NFL, a Super Bowl, playing the 3-3-5 .)
