What I liked about last year, a year with no experience really in Stitt's offense, and with numerous injuries to key players was, the up tempo push at the defense and try to make them make mistakes. In every football play there are 22 men doing 22 different things at the same time. If anyone of them makes a mistake it could be a disaster. Stitt's offense, as I understand it is to find that guy making the mistake and exploit it. It requires more intelligence and adaptability than the old smash mouth that Delaney championed. This is not a dick measuring contest, it's a brain measuring one, and done under great stress at a high tempo.
I am looking for the guys that can fully implement the scheme. The team had moments, but that's just it, they were just moments. With time and practice, I hope to see not moments, but long drawn out events.
Go Griz.
Good take
