Statistical Comparison: UM vs MSU

Each of those safeties was during a punt situation so the Cats would have been getting the ball anyway.
Here's an actuals to estimates for starting field position using Weber's net punt average for the season which is 38yds thus far.

First Safety - Ball on WSU 19 + 38yds, Cats start on their own 43 yard line (actual start after safety kickoff MSU 35) net lost 8 yards
Second Safety - Ball on WSU 33 + 38yds, Cats start on their own 29 yard line (actual start after safety kickoff MSU 41) net gain 12 yards
Third Safety - Ball on WSU 30 + 38yds, Cats start on their own 32 yard line (actual start after safety kickoff MSU 35) net gain 3 yards
Fourth Safety - Ball on WSU 34 + 38yds, Cats start on their own 28 yard line (actual start after safety kickoff MSU 38) net gain 10 yards

I wouldn't call this a game changing significance in field position for the game. I would call each of them significant swings in momentum though.

I honestly don't see how they have trouble understanding that "forcing four punts and getting the ball each time" is not the same as "forcing four punts and getting eight points and the ball each time" are not the same thing.

I mean I've always known your fanbase in general is super arrogant, cocky, and overconfident and usually have an inflated idea of how good the griz are, but this year seems worse than most. I cannot believe the number of griz fans I'm encountering that are convinced the griz are going to blow the Cats out of the water Saturday. Oddsmakers put the griz as slight underdogs, and I know thousands of overconfident griz fans are betting heavy on griz to win. All that said, I guess it's possible the Cats get blown out but I'm not thinking that happens. We'll see.

The only one saying we are overconfident are arrogant cat fans like yourself. Of course every Griz fan is going to root for the Griz just like every cat fan is going to root for the cats, just because people are rooting for their team doesn't make them arrogant. What makes you arrogant is coming over to your arrival's board and calling people arrogant, chanting ESGGCG at every game/event/family gathering that has nothing to do with the Griz, and thumping your chest going around putting down everything Griz because you've been to 1 NC game in the past 37 years. Smack talk is great and I am all for it but you all have gone completely overboard for this game, especially catslickback. Umm, the Bobcats have not proven anything either. Going to be a good game, but sounds like the Cats have a couple of injuries on D. An already suspect Defense. Cats are lucky this one is at home. Don’t think they get the W for a couple of different reasons, but who cares what you or I think. Come Saturday the best team will win. I am confident that is the Griz and I didn’t say that last year!! Griz D equivalent and probably better than last year. Griz O is better in my opinion. Cats offense is equivalent. Cats D is a big step backwards.

The Cats did handle UCD, who just handled Idaho. Idaho gave you guys some fits from what I’ve heard. We also beat WSU.
