Southern Utah @ Montana predictions

Like everyone is saying, it is time to start putting things together. This is a very talented team, one which could have won any of the 3 games we lost. I believe in this talent and think 2 games away from Washington-Griz actually helped this team. Now that they are back home, a new home unbeaten streak can begin. It will be another frustrating game, but I believe the Griz will pull this one out.

GRIZ - 38

Southern Utah - 28
Yes I think you have it. This team could easly be 5-0 if the ball had bounced the right way but it didn't. I know that the Griz have too much pride to let us slide that far so here it comes, winning out the rest of the season. The kitties are going to be very unhappy at the end of the year when DM ( or is it BM ) has his meltdown ( no sun to keep him warm ) .

SUU averages 28 pts / game. In the land of the Grizzly they will lose at least 30% of that. So two TD's and two FG's it is for the birds. Grizzlies are now averaging 32 pts / game. I believe this will increase, being away from home for 2-weeks will add an additional 9 pts. Our pass rush will be key to help our DB's. SUU won't be able to stop the run. Griz start out slow as usual, but by the 3rd quarter they roll w/ a few half time adjustments. Here's to ZERO TURNOVERS for the Griz this week!

Griz 41
SUU 20

I just am not that worried about this matchup. I know they have a great QB and some decent receivers but we will control the game with our running game. The griz will have their way with the SUU defense up front and dominate in time of possession. All we need is a couple stops and we win this one.

griz 34
birds 24

+1

Head to head I see us winning as long as we don't give the ball up like in the games we lost. Ball control will win this one I feel. With that said they will get their points on big plays.

I believe they lead the conference in takeaways....or are near the top.

I haven't heard anything this week on the status of either Moore or Canada. If both play it will be a very long afternoon for SUU. If both are out it could be interesting. Peter was able to dominate the Northern Colorado game on his own, but I doubt he will be able to do so against the SUU defense.

Even without Moore and/or Canada I do think the Grizzlies will win this game.

With Moore & Canada Griz -- 42 - 17

Without - 28 - 17

I highly doubt Moore will play

At the press conference, Delaney said Moore thinks he's ready to go this week, but will probably be out for at least another 2 weeks. If he's ready in 2 weeks, he'll be 2 weeks ahead of normal healing schedule.

He said Canada had a weird tweak, but he'll be ready to go this weekend.

I hope to see Haynes back this week, as well. He'll help us open the passing game up a bit.

As a Montanan/ Griz Fan from a very young age, but with a family member who plays for S. Utah, I have some advice. SUU not Idaho State or N. Colorado! If the Griz come into this game thinking this way they will get taken to the cleaners. SUU knows Washington Grizzly, they are not intimidated. My pride in the toughness of past Griz teams is equalled by SUU. they are a very blue-collar, farm boy team. I promise you, as a Griz fan, they will not fear the stadium or the fans and they will punch you in the face. I spoke with a Cal offensive lineman after the SUU game and he said he had never played a more stubborn, tough group of young men as he did that day. I have always had and still a ton of respect for the Griz and in particular Coach Delaney. Most of these posts are correct, it will be close game. Get pressure on Sorensen and the Griz will win, if not...game over.
