So here is what the Griz are looking at

George Ferguson said:
Griz will beat NAU IF Jensen plays. But from what I'm hearing that's about as likely as me winning the lottery. Stitt is HUGE on protecting his player's health. You can hate him all you want but he will NOT put Jensen's health and future over the NAU game, even if you think another loss will cost him his job. If Jensen doesn't play, NAU probably gets out of Wash-Griz with a close win. Anyone who thinks NAU will blow out the Griz, I wish I had the medications that you're on right now.
This is why Bob Stitt is more valuable than just what we see in w's and l's on his record. Let the doctor's decide, not the coach or Jensen.

If I were on the team, then I'd be thinking we are going to beat NAU with Hill, and with every other thing we can come up with to beat them. Come on Griz fans, who's with us? Where's Belushi when we need him.

i believe people are vastly underrating Hill as a qb and gamer......

Payton what’ve you heard about Jensen? Because I think as long as he isn’t out I believe that we will win out.

What makes you think that?
Ok hear me out. NAU, for as long as I’ve been watching Griz football, has been arguably one of the worse teams to play in Washington Grizzly. They rarely ever win against us at home. Plus I watched NAU play today against Sac State and they didn’t look very good. I think their defense will have a tough time defending us, and if we can keep the ball for large amounts of time (like we did in the 2nd half today) then I think NAU’s offense will sputter a bit. I thought we did a nice job of defending Weber’s tight end today, and it makes me think we’ll do a good job of defending Emmanuel Butler next Saturday. Our blitzing looks great and if we can get pressure on Cookus, I think he’ll have a hard time finding a groove next week. Plus (and this may turn out to be entirely wrong) the forecast for next Saturday is calling for freezing temperatures in the mid 20s. Think about it. How often does NAU play in that weather? They play in a dome for Christ sakes.

As for UNC I mean come on. They’re terrible. That’s all I have to say about them. As for the cats who knows? But here’s what I think. The week before Cat-Griz last year the cats got a nice easy warm up game against UC Davis last year that gave them confidence going into the game. And we got to go on the road last year and play arguably the best UNC team in school history. This year the rolls are reversed and the week before, we get a nice easy warm up against UNC, while the cats get to go on the road and play this high powered NAU team, and everybody knows how hard it is to play at 7,000 feet of elevation. NAU is not an easy place to play at. That gives the Griz all the momentum headed into the game and will hopefully motivate them for the game too. That’s my opinion any way.

Emanuel Butler has been out for the season for some time now.

LOL - Yea - he watched that Sac State real closely didn't he.. Butler has been out since 1st quarter of Western Illinois - Week #2. Perhaps he meant Elijah Marks, but he did not play at all yesterday either. Jacks had 4 true freshman on the field at receiver most of the day. All contributing yesterday.

How many teams will they take from the bigsky? As it stands we are 6th behind nau, suu, weber, ewu, and msu in conference play. If I were to guess suu will get the auto birth, nau has 3 hard games in front of them, ewu plays weber then both teams have it easy from there on, and msu has a pretty tough go and needs to win out to have 7 wins. If we can beat both nau and msu that would mean 4 teams would need to be selected from the bigsky.....suu,weber,ewu, and um.

Depends where it all shakes out in the end and who has some winning streak in them. Right now majority of projections show 3 from the Big Sky but I'd say the chance at 4 getting in is 50-50

Didn't get to see or hear the game the game except for one play on tv and it was Sandry looking lost and confused as they beat him for 6.
How much did the GRIZ miss Strong?

You all are idiots. You don’t fire Stitt because of one game you fire him lots of shit games. Stop with the excuses about talent.... Lets just look at toughness... Getting run over by tougher teams not better teams. Last year NAU, UND, and the cats. Serious he should’ve been fired after the Cat game last year. This year same story. We beat the cats and win the Big Sky because we are tough not just talented. Watch all those Montana State walk ons kick our three star recruits ass because they are tougher....

Fuck Stitt

Amazing what can happen when you do a great job of recruiting aren’t worried about making sure you get everyone through a redshirt season, when the future is now. Having s proven QB & a defense that seems to have found some footing makes a big difference. I did watch the ILState game & they were great against the team just wiped the field with the home team in Youngstown yesterday.

Best of luck Jerome.

Honestly, Weber State nearly beat Cal, so they can play and have some good players. they played very good defense and an awesome first Half O scheme, were smart on D and smarter on O in the first half against the griz. However, as usual Griz woke up in 2nd Half, but for some reason officials obviously stopped a few game changing drives and took care of weebs nearly three drives. Didn't back our QB up, but flagged him for hurting weebs D line when he caused them to jump  Plus, our corners dropped or under ran some good drives that were easily "in the game catches". Coaches didn't lose, the team didn't execute maybe 5 more plays they should have. But the courage to make a run was awesome. I look forward to last three games and next year :thumb: Go Griz

Still a piss poor example of an x player

No beating around the bush. Although it would be nice to meet that (playoffs) goal we are unlikely to make much noise this year should we get in.

What it comes down to is if you want Stitt to be HC at least one more year, root for us to beat the Scats and make the playoffs.

If you want him gone, hope for another late season meltdown. It's as simple as that.

This seasons record and playoff berth are all about keeping the coach, not winning a NC.

NAU is overrated....griz win by double digits Saturday, regardless who is at QB

If the Griz lose next week and then win the last two and end up at 7-4 I see there is little to no chance they get into the playoffs as they will not have beaten a team with a winning record.

Also they will be outside of the top 25 this week and with a loss to NAU will not climb back in with two close out wins to teams with losing records. (I see the Cats as being 5-5 going into Cat- Griz.

For those that think the Griz will be in at 7-4 what do you see that gets the team in?

I'm not sure what's more surprising? The fact that you guys hired a guy who had no business being your head coach, or the fact he's still be your head coach? I say sign him to a long term contract. PLEASE!

NAU 41; UM 31; 9/22/12. @Missoula. Bauman 253 yards rushing against Tripp, Coyle, Wagenmann, Holmes, Takai, et. al.

NAU has won 3 of the last 4 against UM.

so.
NAU at Home
UNC at Home
Kittens in the Box.

7-4 they are definitely out, winning out 8-3 they are a very iffy bubble team with no wins over quality opponents. Yesterdays lost very likely sealed the deal on any playoff hopes. IMO
