Yes those are Studebaker cop cars. That building was constructed in the 1890’s as a livery stable. Housed many buildings in the following years. In the early 40’s it was actually the Studebaker dealership. Thousands of Studebaker trucks were built in the 40’s for the military and lend-lease to the Soviet Union. It was the cop shop for several years and then fell into disrepair for many years. My business partner and I purchased the building in 1997 and rehabilitated it and called it the STUDEBAKER Building. We sold it in 2007.

This thread has been very entertaining fellas. My dad talked about him and his buddies playing music at a bunch of these bars mentioned.

When I was 16 years old, the drinking age was 18. Those of us whose voices had changed drank at Connies’ Lounge, the Flame and the Flamingo Lounge at the Park Hotel. Ah yes, those were the good old days. Wait, actually, any days when you were way younger were “good old days.”

Friday in Spring quarter: happy hour at the Stockman's, move on to the Candle, move on to the Northern, and then, more often than not, Missoula Country jail, in a cell, in the basement with a dirty blanket. Took me a while to realize I had a problem.
