Shafer hit vs Harper hit

Hoops is never threaten you. But you are a pos and any person would let you know that, if your children have had to “drop” someone with one punch i imagine they are a lot like you, emotionally unstable.
Both my Ranger son and rugby daughter have dropped guys. My son when protecting others. My daughter a couple times when she and/r her friends were being hassled, grabbed in the butt, etc. at bars, or on the streets of NYC. Both are lawyers. My daughter is a hotshot M&A lawyer in NYC at a top firm. Works hard, make a ton of money. Has had to protect herself in 2 attempted muggings too. Got help one time. She's friends with Ilana Maher, the USA rugby star, and has played a few seasons with her in the past.

The Davis tackle was dirty. So was the hit on 84. I played a lot of football and rugby until I was 51, and made a zillion tackles, and never once tackled an upright runner or receiver in the knee. I wish nothing but the worst for the guy who hurt 84. Goofed up his professional football chances too.
I join you in your spell cast on #24. The knee strike on 84 was awful. I reviewed the tackle on Davis over and over and could not find fault in #9s technique. The hip drop was finished before he even crossed over Davis's body. Momentum and Davis's shoulder roll carried him over and onto Davis's lower leg at the very end of the tackle. I have a hard time calling that chain of events intentional.

Congrats hoops??? Do you think your children are the only people that have ever been in a fight? Still weird to flex your son killing people and your daughter fighting people. and doesn’t make you any less of pos! i’d still gladly tell you that regardless of what you’re children have accomplished! Also why does it matter who your daughter’s friends with that’s cool but pretty irrelevant.

See hoops if this was every post i’d love getting to hear everything you have to say. This is so informative an has like thought and care upt into it and gives me a good idea of the relationship you guys had. I don’t get frustrated at your comics because they are against me but because i want to be an informed fan the same as you.
Ed Marinaro:

"Who would have ever thought that someone I competed against so fiercely over
40 years ago would become a dear and treasured friend. Jack was a great athlete
but is a better person and this is certainly a well deserved honor. But I still hate
Dartmouth! Go Big Red!" Ed Marinaro #44"

I don’t doubt that you have the capability to be a decent human you have yet to show that in these threads though.

I hate that he got hurt, nobody wants to see that. But a DB tackling low on a much bigger tight end right after the catch is exactly how they’re coached. Injury doesn’t automatically make it a dirty play.

Not fair to say that Harper’s tackle was “unlucky” but another players was “ill intent”. Football is a fast game and I very much doubt either player wanted to intentionally mame another.
The "fan" in your name makes sense. The players are not coached to strike the knees except maybe at Sacramento State. They are taught to hit below the center of gravity so the upper body weight pulls the player down. Just because there is not a specific rule banning strikes to the side of the knee doesn't make it okay. I'd be happy to demonstrate the difference to you some time.

No reason for him to know me, but he must not have a great memory if he can’t remember the conversation about my connection to Marinaro/Marty Daniels, his uncle and thay being my senior year. Ha. I dont remember Daniel kicking FG’s for Griz either even though I think he did. He seemed like a nice kid in our 30 or 60 second conversation.
You must not have a great memory if you don’t remember him kicking field goals for the Griz in 2014 and 2015. He made three in the win against NDSU, including one with about 3 minutes left in the game that put the Griz in position to be able to score the winning touchdown. NDSU was 4 time reigning national champions and ranked #1 at the time. Has Bobby Hauck ever beaten a team like that?

If you haven’t picked up on it yet, hoops suffers from some sort of malignant narcissism even the claim that someone doesn’t remember him would completely remove them from his memory.

they banned the hip drop tackle in college football?
It's part of unnecessary roughness. Do some reading. Do you think there's a penalty called Late Hit? Again, do some research. Many actions are considered penalties under general terms of unnecessary roughness or persona foul.

I wouldn't expect anybody to remember me. How's your sense of humor? A bit lacking.

Once again taking a page out of your book for this next part old man. You said you were surprised he doesn’t remember you so you’re LYING about what you said. you expected him to remember you and he didn’t.

I agree.....he's a hell of a player. Was a great blocker in the run game and a weapon in the pass game.

But it wasn't a dirty play. He's 6-5, 270 lbs, Our safety is maybe 200lbs soaking wet. He has to tackle low, that the only way he can make a play. It was just unfortunate how it worked out. Just like the Harper play....he wasn't trying to head hunt, that's just how the play worked out.

Going low isn't against the rules.....thus didn't get flagged.
It's appalling that you justify that play because of the size of the player being hit. The size of the player makes it even more egregious because his weight kept the leg from kicking out from under him. I don't think it is against a specific rule and therefore #24 could not be charged for felony assault, but I hope he gets the chance to feel for himself the consequences of his actions.

Right.....that's the definition of a defenseless player.

Now show me the rule that prohibits making low contact with a defenseless player who isn't the QB.
I agree totally with you about the lack of rule. It is however a pretty sadistic justification for the action.

It wasn't an intentional action. I agree with Brint when he says:

BWahlberg said:
Is it possible that both were snap decision plays made by defenders in the moment, neither intentionally dirty - but just reacting to make a play? Both with unfortunate outcomes for Montana.

Do you think your the only person that knows about law, My brother is an ADA in the Denver area and a lead prosecutor for their hate crimes unit, i decided to ask him just for fun if it was a threat because fuck you hoops i can. He also agreed that he doesn’t believe that’d fall under the definition of a “threat”. and then we both agreed that anyone that would consider that a threat is probably the worlds biggest pussy and secretly cheers for the cats.
Do they have any volunteer opportunities in Buttfuck?

Maybe mom could find you an old puzzle to put together? A big one with missing pieces?

I think I see the thigh pad sticking out above his shoulder.
Yep, by about two inches - whereas the knee of someone 6'5" is at least a foot below where they would wear a thigh pad - and the pad is almost perfectly aligned with the top of the helmet, which is where the initial contact occurs. It looked very bad in real time, partially due to Shafer being airborne when the initial contact comes, but if you slow down the video from the angle this still was taken from it's pretty evident that the hit was to the thigh. He absolutely did NOT hit him in the knee.
