I don't want to downplay the Reese injury, but if looking for a silver lining, I think Gresch playing is better in the long run for Griz football.
Horrible about Reese (we can only hope his career as a football player isn't over). And I think most on here knew that Gresch could be the "next big thing" for the Griz. But you have to look in the way "long run" to see a silver lining. IMO Reese was just coming into his own, both as a passer and a leader. Brady G had a big arm, but only in that big season-opening upset of NDSU did I feel he had that special leadership quality that could lift a team to another level. I got hints of that from Reese ... and now we may never know. For me, the ideal would have been to have Reese develop, with Gresch as a strong backup and being given good PT.

On the other hand, you just can't predict when injuries will happen, their overall impact, and how the team will react. So you make the best you can of whatever happens.

Go Griz! :egriz:

Appeared to be a dislocated ankle. Career ender. Long haul with surgery, healing and rehab.

Pocket collapsed, he tried to gain positive yards, and someone feel on him. One ankle turned 180 degrees the wrong way

Mike Kramer doing the commentary on UC Davis vs Port ST. For a first time he is doing great. He is the best I have seen doing a BSC game. He may have a future in this.

I'd much rather listen to him than MD...

Who will be number 3 on the depth chart at quarterback now?

Maybe Nate Dick I would guess, but they wont burn his redshirt unless its an emergency. Tanner Wilson would be the other option, from Polson. Or maybe Makenis Simis?

Anyone else catch the end of the broadcast where MD says he "doesn't like playing this type of game" and that we should've had a better FCS game to balance out the Valpo game?
Shouldn't he have known about The McNeese game falling through?
I get the distinct impression that he loves finding anything to bitch about with respect to the current coaching regime. His schtick has worn thin the last couple of years.

There is no comparison. Kramer is really good.
