Tennessee let a UF WR get behind the safety and Uf won the game on a pass as time ran out.

Didn't help that Tennessee's ST left 9-12 points on the board

Anyone else catch the end of the broadcast where MD says he "doesn't like playing this type of game" and that we should've had a better FCS game to balance out the Valpo game?
Shouldn't he have known about The McNeese game falling through?
I get the distinct impression that he loves finding anything to bitch about with respect to the current coaching regime. His schtick has worn thin the last couple of years.

How involved is the coaching staff in scheduling?

Not at all. It's the AD. Now they may have suggestions, but unlike basketball, it's generally the AD.

Gruesome Phillips injury overshadows runaway Griz win

As someone who had a lot of questions about Reese Phillips entering this season and feared he may have lacked some of the abilities to be an effective quarterback and an inspiring leader, I can say without equivocation, I was dead wrong.

That kid has shown tremendous poise under pressure, as can be seen in his performance against UW, and phenomenal skill as both a leader and as an effective quarterback. I wish for nothing but the best for this kid as he moves forth in life. I'm also humbled by his and his teammates overwhelming commitment to the University and to the legacy of Montana Football.

Rumble young man! Rumble!

GO Griz!

On a lighter note ... if that's possible.

Aside from the main traveling group ... did anyone run into a Savannah State fan? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes I did. In the lobby after the game, I thanked him for coming to support the team. Turned out he played for them and is now a solar engineer living in Bend, OR. I told him he choose wisely and well done. Nice kid.

I saw a fellow in the tailgates and again in the stands, straight across from us, in a blue and orange SSU letterman's jacket. Didn't talk with him, so know nothing more.
