Go but pack some food!Sitting this one out. Was planning on picking my son up in Reno and heading over the pass.
Possible weather over Donner will keep me home.

This is solid advice. They've had false starts at home in the games that I've watched already. They get penalized quite a bit, including for holding which was kind of shocking considering Big Sky refs never call holding.Have fun and be extra loud and cold! I bet you all can trick the Sac students into being loud when Sac is on offense and get some false starts for the home team.
They're the most penalized team in the conference. Perhaps BSC refs are being a little tougher on them since they're headed out the door. This is solid advice. I doubt that they will tell EPSN what they can do, but someone had mentioned that Suck State did this to keep from showing all the covered seats, which is their terminology is probably more like "enhance viewership."Since we're talking about referees and penalties etc. I noticed that in the two Sac home games that I've watched parts of, the main camera is on the visitor side, facing the home bleacher. HOWEVER, the camera they use for the head ref to explain the penalty is actually on the other side of the field, which is very disconcerting in the game when everything switches 180° and then switches back again. I sure hope that ESPN does it differently on Friday because it's hard to keep track of what's happening with penalties with the current setup. I kept thinking the ref was pointing his arm the wrong direction until I figured out what was actually happening.
Traditionally, Holman's crew has graded out as the top officiating crew in the league. I think they also reffed the 22 National Championship game as well. Odds are unlikely they get assigned to Sacramento 2 weeks in a row but as long as we don't get the guy with the glasses then I'm ok with anyone else.Kelly Holman was the referee for the Suck State/UNC game and normally I don't much care for him, although he is a highly rated white cap.
In this case, I wouldn't mind having him there on Friday. I may not care for him overall, but I trust that his crew will keep things under control. At this point, I am also very hopeful that our guys don't take the bait because I don't put it past Suck State to try to entice us into cheap 15 yard penalties.
Wish I could. Have fun GoGrizSeems like there's a fair amount of us going so I thought I'd start a thread to keep track of it. 3 of us from Butte taking an overnight layover in Vegas on Thursday, and then continuing onto Sacramento Friday morning!

You’ll feel way safer than when I wear green in Missoula.good luck. From the videos I’ve seen it seems a bit dodgy down there

How many more weeks of Winter is that? You must be scared of your own shadow.
Dude, I’ve never seen anyone treated poorly at a Griz game. Not one time. I’ve taken family members of mine who are bobcats to a cat Griz rivalry game wearing their cat gear and they’ve never had a thing said to them. I’ve never seen a single fight at a Griz game and I’ve been to at least 3 per season since 2006 and didn’t miss a :single home game while I was a student from ‘07-‘11. I chatted with vandal fans earlier this season while in line for food and they said it’s their favorite place in conference to attend an away game due to the facilities, fan support, and the way that they’re treated. If what occurred at sac last weekend EVER occurred at a Griz game I would be embarrassed and ashamed and demanding changes that prevented that type of crap. You’ll feel way safer than when I wear green in Missoula.
So it’s my fault as a Hornet fan a fight happened? I’m trying to understand your logic.Dude, I’ve never seen anyone treated poorly at a Griz game. Not one time. Well they're trying hard to fill the stands. Will it work? Remains to be seen.Interesting email this morning from the school. They are having a flash sale of East (usually made up of visitors only) Grandstand tickets only ($10). Use code ESPN. It also looked like they were taking the tarps off this morning.
