Wait APR? 2 questions egriz can answer Was McKinley the rb that verballed to Montana over NDSU LIED TO BY MONTANA? Or didn't do his homework?

“APR,” he said, referring to UM’s Academic Progress Rate. “I’m a student-athlete first and foremost and my parents feel the same way. Montana had the highest APR of the three schools, and the highest graduation rate.

WHAT THE HECK? >>>Montana had a 929 APR in football while NDSU had 964 and has been consistently higher over the last five years.

Weird, don't kill us th messenger, we are just asking the question

You are being very presumptuous in assuming you were even in the running. Maybe he was comparing the APR of his top 2 choices and the Bison weren't even in the picture.

For the record, he did say the "...APR of the three schools," so I think one could reasonably say that he was comparing all three schools. Regardless, APR doesn't really have anything to do with the academic prowess of a school. It's basically just how many kids graduate and the grades that the kids get while at that school. Doesn't have anything to do with a schools academic rating. So it's more probable that he thought Montana was a better academic school than NDSU.

bisonation will soon be twittering to RM about UM's APR....really has it in his craw. Bison were so yesterday, get over it.

That's an NCAA violation if he does - turn his ass in to the NDSU compliance if you see it.

I have not tweeted any such thing, I dont have Ryan Mckinley as a friend on my twitter. But thanks for your concerns.

you guys are still gonna cheer for NDSU over MSU though.. right???

I love the Griz. I respect App State. I hate everyone else.

you have to also respect back to back national champions. NDSU gets respect for being a very good, strong program. App.st got respect for those exact reasons as well. Same reason everyone did respect GSU.

At the end of the day MSU still has never earned respect of anyone in the FCS. being ranked highly and falling on you face early in the playoffs will not get it done. They are starting to build but until they prove themselves and make it to the chipper..they get no respect. they def. did not get it when they were underdogs playing at home vs a southern team in november.

Um, no I don't. I see what they've done recently and if in 10 years they are still winning championships or are 5-6 and beating us out for recruits then I'll respect them.

I can't comment on the APR stuff, but you can sure compare the two football programs as 2 of the top 5 programs in FCS. NDSU has obvisouly feasted well off the the midwest talent and has obviously been successful.

The one thing that really set the two programs a part in my mind is the game day experience in Missoula that is impossible to create with an indoor stadium. Part of what makes football great is the outdoor elements. The snowy night in the game vs. Ap State was better because of the weather and it would not have been the same in Fargo.

I like the snow games almost more then the sun games, though the sun games are awesome. I would absolutely hate if MT had a dome stadium, but I can understand the need in the tundra of Fargo.

I respect any program that's managed to arouse fan interest. That list is short. UM, ASU, NDSU, GSU, JMU and maybe a few others.

Kid had an offer from Yale, with Ivy League interest, and an offer from Air Force, so the kid is academically gifted. Good get for the Griz!

yea, we can save the rest of the ndsu info for the other ndsu program thread.

back to mckinley, we are surprised he went with montana, so when this APR confusion came up, it smelled fishy.

Are you sure that isn't how Fargo always smells during ice fishing season?

So are you suggesting fraud, deception, and chicanery? Perhaps a conspiracy!

We have some surplus one year old "gently" used pitchforks and torches for sale...
