Ryan McKinley

I think this is our best commit thus far. With Tre Favors being a distant 2nd. McKinley is a stud.

Missoula 2 Fargo 0

As exciting as McKinley is on the defensive side, I think Favors is equally as explosive on the offensive.

With the spearhead of Favors, Nguyen, and Morales coming out of this group, the running back position is going to be STACKED for years. That's not even considering Canada, Counts, and Van for the immediate future, haha.

Heard some rumbling lately that Nguyen may be looking elsewhere...looking for more scholarship money.

Montana 2 Fargo 1 - they got "OL-Zack Ziemer 6'5" 280 (Lakeville North HS) Lakeville, MN", if Rivals is correct on the Montan offer.

The fact the Griz had their worse season in 27 years and are able to beat out the back-to-back National Champions on 2 of 3 head to head battles is very promising.

I really wished that Counts could have redshirted the entire season, but with these guys coming in... It makes up for it IMO

I've heard that too. Time will tell.

Lets not forget that we beat out UNLV, Idaho and Army for our other CB in this class. Marquin Russell

GREAT job by our staff bolstering the CB position

He is on the same page as GRIZ fans too. Good to see a kid wanting to challenge himself more.

In every game last year, we had a lead.

Didn't Trumaine Johnson start as a "true" Freshman at CB back in the 2008 season?

Gotta love this quote....quality kid.

In the end, one major factor swung the decision to Montana.

“APR,” he said, referring to UM’s Academic Progress Rate. “I’m a student-athlete first and foremost and my parents feel the same way. Montana had the highest APR of the three schools, and the highest graduation rate.

That quote really struck me too, this is a quality kid! :thumb:

Congrats on McKinley, but its Missoula 2 Fargo 1. We got the big Olineman Ziemert out of Lakeville this year. At least we won out last year for Farnlof who was McKinley highschool teammate. I am pretty sure you guys had an offer out to him last year..he is a DT.

We didn't really want either of those guys.

;)

Wait APR? 2 questions egriz can answer Was McKinley the rb that verballed to Montana over NDSU LIED TO BY MONTANA? Or didn't do his homework?

WHAT THE HECK? >>>Montana had a 929 APR in football while NDSU had 964 and has been consistently higher over the last five years.

Weird, don't kill us the messenger, we are just asking the question

You are being very presumptuous in assuming you were even in the running. Maybe he was comparing the APR of his top 2 choices and the Bison weren't even in the picture.

Bisonation said:
Well. Grizd. That's plausible, but it still doesn't change the apr # disparity between Montana & NDSU FWIW

Perhaps he mean APR's of the two schools that aren't located in frozen wastelands. 8-) 8-)
