Davis was younger than we were.

Older doesn't mean better.

Haha cripes people... I see what you’re saying. But generally speaking, experience is a good thing.

Could also signify better recruiting by Davis.

As in UC Davis? Sorry I’ve gotta plead ignorance. Not sure what you’re referencing.

Have a nice Thanksgiving at home. Next year is a new year. I thought Bobby coming back was the answer. Now, not impressed. It is a different Big Sky now. Choate owns the Griz so far. Even with his so called on here inexperienced staff. The non QB Anderson is one huge competitor!

I really think that you should post this a couple more times just in case someone missed it from your earlier posts.

Perhaps you have spoken too soon.

Relax my ass, the Griz got dominated on both offensive and defensive lines by the cats. New coach, old coach it doesn't matter that is unacceptable. I hope this is the bottom but I'm not confident about that. Everyone, coaches players and fans have to demand more. Bobby needs help and he needs to ask and listen to the right people.

Okay, here I go.
I like many Griz fans hoped and in some ways expected that Hauck would work some of his past magic and this team would have a great season and make a run deep in the playoffs. I believe that many of us felt that way even after several players left the program after Hauck’s hiring. We felt like oh well next man up. However as this season has gone along we started seeing we do not really have a next man up.

Am I pissed how this season turn out? Hell yes I am as I expected and wanted more. However the reality is what we got was what we should have been expecting. It’s pretty rare to have a new coach, all new staff and an existing team have immediate success. I’m not considering NDSU or even EWU as those jobs were taken over by current known quantities of there coaching ranks.

Every new coach needs time to recruit and build. We certainly owe that to coach Hauck. This time around he has even more tools at his disposal to aid in recruiting top talent with the new Champions Center etc. We saw in the past what Hauck could do with less facilities and recruiting tools. Let’s give him a couple years to build. If after 3 or 4 years we are still 6 and 5 and still missing the playoffs then a hard decision may need to be made. However we would also have to weigh that yet another coaching change could set us back even more.

It’s a hard time to be a Griz fan right now. We want success now. However let’s have faith and provide some time. I for one am very curious to see what transpires over the off season. I suspect we see a few more unexpected departures and an influx of drop down or JC transfers to fill positions for this next year.

Hang in there Griz fans.

People are acting as though Bobby hasn’t had a recruiting class yet.

I think people realize that he had a short recruiting window and Stitt recruited a significant number of those recruits.

I’m fine with that as long as Bobby is judged by the same standard after the 2020 season. I trust Bobby would agree.

He won't ever be judged by the same standard, because he's from Montaaanianna. The last guy wasn't even Big Timber Tough.

The ghost of Stitt still exists, we dont have the personal to close out a game.

So.we have the personnel to go up on teams by 3 scores (which we did all year long) but we don't have the personnel to close them out (which we failed to do all year long)??

That doesn't sound like a personnel issue. It sounds like COACHING issue.

Or the coaching up of this personnel got teams up by 3 scores, but the immaturity, lack of depth, and deficiencies of the roster didn't lend itself to closing teams out. So yeah, it might be a coaching issue, of might not.

We got owned in nearly every second half this season. If that's not a coaching issue, I'll ask you this: since BH got credit in his first go round for being a great halftime adjustment coach, shouldn't he take the heat for being a shitty one his second time around? Seems reasonable to me you can't have it both ways

I think he should get two more years max. No one is expecting anything next year with that brutal schedule. We will be lucky to be 6-5. 2020 will be his third year, two recruiting classes and his own system. If he isn’t 9+ wins a year then I hope every fucking Hauck nut hugger on this forum starts to eat their own words.

I support Hauck and I hope he proves me wrong but I highly doubt he gets it done year 3 and even then idiots on this forum will still blame stitt. We fired a coach that had a 60% win rate and finally getting his system for a coach that has a 28% win rate since leaving our program the first time.

Sneed fumbles to give the go ahead touchdown and Eastwood fumbles to give up the go ahead touchdown. Both Bobby’s guys. Both contributed to a loss that very well could have been a win. If you want to talk recruiting start with a reliable running back and a qb that doesn’t turn the ball over. People speak of 2-3 years. Well sneed is gone after next year. Guess we have to endure another crappy season in 2019. Oh yeh by the way we pay to see 4 quarters of football yet they play 2. Half price next year?

Sneed had a terrific season and will likely be in the running for one of the all conference qb slots. An improvement in the position over last year. From the inside, I was told that Jensen would have be dead had he played this year, without Sneed's mobility.

With a strong and more experienced o-line, the qb and rb's would have been done better.

Yes, those fumbles were the keys to the game. They can't do that.

My view is that UM had trouble hanging onto leads, because of the lack of experience and some weaknesses in various spots. 1 senior starter on the offense. 2 on the 2-deep. No seniors on the o-line. 2 frosh starters on o-line. 2 walk-ons starting on o-line. A converted defensive player starting, after converting during fall ball. The only returning o-line starter hurt. Other injuries. Germer should be the Big Sky coach of the year, for how he pieced the o-line together and made them credible, at least most of the time. The o-line will be better next year, plus will have the true frosh playing and perhaps some other reinforcements. They will be stronger after another year in the weight room.

While I don't disagree with half-time adjustment comments, I always wonder what halftime adjustments should be made when your team is playing well and leading by a few TD's.

It was only a “coaching issue” when Stitt was in charge! Jesus, Everett, can’t you get that straight?
