We got owned in nearly every second half this season. If that's not a coaching issue, I'll ask you this: since BH got credit in his first go round for being a great halftime adjustment coach, shouldn't he take the heat for being a shitty one his second time around? Seems reasonable to me you can't have it both ways

It was only a “coaching issue” when Stitt was in charge! Jesus, Everett, can’t you get that straight?

:D

They were up 22-7 and held Andersen pretty much in check. What adjustments should have been made in at half time in your opinion?

Please explain how this is a Coaching issue. The coaches didn't fumble.

The ghost of Stitt still exists, we dont have the personal to close out a game.

So.we have the personnel to go up on teams by 3 scores (which we did all year long) but we don't have the personnel to close them out (which we failed to do all year long)??

That doesn't sound like a personnel issue. It sounds like COACHING issue.

Dutch, sometimes the adjustments are about anticipating the ones the opponent will make against you and counter them. Now, my turn to ask a question: Did you hold Stitt accountable for the loss to Eastern last year when we had a huge lead at half? I did. And I hold Hauck accountable here, and for the other half dozen games this year which followed the same course.

PGM, see above. Also you put your players in the best position to win. BH failed to do that repeatedly this year. A fumble should not have cost us a game we were dominating. (But the most direct answer to your question is you don’t have your qb in shotgun on 3rd and goal from the 4 inch line)

Holy shit! I cannot for the life of me believe that some are debating whether or not Hauck should be fired in two years time. You guys realize that um in its entirety is in desperate need of stability?!! That it’s in desperate need of leadership?!!!! And that those two qualities don’t produce results overnight?!!!! For f***s sake, give it a rest. There are several posters who need to cool their shit and realize that this program can sustain no more coaching changes without collapse. How many times do you suppose we can change coaches without sustaining losing seasons?! The cats had to endure 3 losing seasons in a row before hitting paydirt and cashing in on their investment! So for Christ’s sake put your f***ing pitch forks and for sale signs away and give coach some f***ing time!

Our OL couldn’t stop their DL. Shotgun was the right decision.

Oh, he MADE adjustments, alright. He went into "Bobby Ball" and stopped doing what worked and immediately started trying to milk the clock. How many touches did Sulser or JLM have in the 2nd half? As soon as Sneed effed up the one pitch to JLM they NEVER ran that play again.

  great post and I believe you are correct. This season has been played with basically a freshman class. Hauck knows he needs an OL, so thats what he will get. Once Sneed has protection, its on to Playoffs 2019, EZ. Go Griz and dumb griz fans will be dumb griz fans. Can't fix stupid. #gogriz #ftc #rtd2019

I'm not feeling as bad or pessimistic as some, but this had me scratching my head, as well.

We looked unstoppable in that first drive, and then almost literally never went back to any of those strategies.
