Really happy the Griz did not get the Thomas's

Yikes that sounds like a little more than your standard MJ. That could be real trouble for the lad.

Thats what the media wants you to think when you eat a pot brownie.. Abviously these kids had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Anyone want a brownie??

Wasn't one of those mayor's basement crawlers a Kalispell kid by the name of Dan Ogden?

Seems to me he had a pretty good career -- after crawling out of the basement!

in 1908 slats mcgillicuddy, starting wingback for the montana state university grizzlies, was caught stealing a bag of oats at the local livery stable.

hopefully trumaine does something so dumb he gets booted from the team..... 8-)

ps....i simply picked tru for selfish reasons. :thumb:

yeah, like i believe that. you know tru wasn't practicing this spring due to academics. admit it. you just brought him up to see if something is going haywire with him. didn't you? didn't you? ;)

ha. no, he just happens to be one grizzly i wouldn;t mind seeing on the field. gamechanger for sure.

I suppose you could excuse any kind of behavior if the standard for what's acceptable is if anyone has ever done the same and gotten away with it. There's another egriz thread about Nate Montana where it's been suggested that surely all egrizzers were drunken drivers at some point in their lives, ergo drunken driving is excusable.

That's fine, but I'll stick with the law when it comes to behavior that did, our could have, endangered others. As they say, 'your rights stop where mine start.' Selling drugs to children is a serious crime. I don't give a phuk who did it, or used to do it, back in the day.

I stand corrected. It was clay bignell and dan ogden who were out egging houses and escaped to the mayor's house while trying the evade arrest. They were suspended from playing for one year. In other words, they redshirted.

you suck at re-writing history. ogden and bignell didn't get suspended for a year. ogden played as a true frosh.

I can't say I've never gotten high in college, or that I haven't made some bad decisions.

I've never sold brownies filled with copious amounts of pot (or whatever was in them...have my doubts from reading the story) to fellow high school kids, despite the fact that I already got into trouble before for a similar drug-related issue, the year before I accept a scholarship to go play division 1 football.

So yeah, I wasn't a saint, but I was a fuck ton smarter than this idiot. Maybe College isn't for him after all.

My only fear is that the "machine" that seems to be in place in Bozeman to see to it that football players get away with things that other people would not steps in to try to sway public opinion that he was railroaded and buy this kid a free pass.

(I kid, BAC, I kid!!)

haha, good point. i wonder if player rep will step in and explain how thomas is being systematically abused by the man and is completely innocent, er not guilty, of all charges. should be an easy one.

whatever that "Machine" is we have to get that damn thing fired up!!!

Ahh hell they get off with a light sentence. Their attorney will cop the insanity plea for them saying they realized just now what they had done by committing to msu and not the Griz and the judge will have great compassion and sentence them to four years of miserable football, poor boring coaching and a double dose of arrogant dilusional fans and booster called bobcats.
Life's great to be in Griz Nation!

All hail the machine!!

These kids should try this Dave Chapelle quote "I'm sorry, Officer. I didn't know I couldn't do that."

That is a GREAT point. I am interested (for once) to hear PR's opinion on this issue, if he'll jump on here to defend him. Probably not since he's a BOBCAT recruit and not griz recruit, but it would be an incredible coincidence if this kid is guilty as hell and should pay the price... whereas the past ten grizzly players were all innocent.

Not a problem, I am sure the coach will simply let the legal system run its course. It will get pushed back until after the season and then he will plead. Since he will be a RS won't matter and he won't miss any games or practices. Oh Wait, I forgot he isn't going to play for the Griz. In that case, if the story is true he is done.

WTF are you blabbering about? Please provide even one instance in which a Griz HS recruit was involved in drugs, came to campus, redshirted and then played.

Good luck to you in your research endeavors....

I will do you one better boss, say a guy kills another man doesn't call the cops instead heads to montana to play football for a college team. Then gets thrown in jail and then gets released. Gets another chance then messes that up by biting a girl...oh wait he didn't mess it up he still got to play.Ring a bell?

For the record if connor did these things I for one don't want him on the team. Don't care if your a griz or a cat, messing up a great opportunity to make memories and get an education (for free), has no play in my game of life.
