PSU @ UM predictions

In 20-plus years of going to games, I have to see the Griz LOOSE OR HAVE A LOOSING SEASON. I predict that trend will continue Saturday. Now, as for who wins and LOSES, I don't do prediction threads.

Sorry, I'll try it again. In 20-plus years of going to games I've never seen the Griz LOOSE a game and they've never had LOOSING season. But again, I won't predict whether or not they'll LOSE on Saturday.

Watched the PSU vs. Cal game saw alot of likeness between NAU and Portland with NAU being a little quicker on both sides of the ball but not enough not to have the same results against the Griz. PSU is tough on D and explosive on pass plays. I hope the coaches saw their mistakes as well as the players in reviewing the film against NAU and have some good things waiting for PSU, if not Griz go down. The Griz need to establish a running game up the middle just like Cal did in the second half with Counts leading the charge. Wear them down. No score just fingers crossed. :|

Why not Jordan Canada leading the charge? He already has two 100-yar rushing games this season? Why not Travon Van leading the charge? He has two of the longest TD's of any Griz this season and averages 79 yards rushing per outing, and he barely got to play against Panhandle. I love the potential of Joey Counts, but I looked at the depth chart this week and he's still listed as No. 3.

As much as I hate seeing the Griz LOOSE, It really pissed me off when they LOSE! As for LOOSING seasons, I had a few LOOSE seasons in my younger years!

Grizo, you know what I want to hear, Say it! You can say it for NAU, you can say it for PSU!.

If Everett can stand it, I can! Say it!

   I believe I said it already in another thread, but in case I didn't...

We're gonna' get rolled...

Thank you, Sir!

Of all the Gin joints in all the towns in all the world, he has to walk into mine...

Havgrizfan while I know Travon and Jordan are great RBs I consider them to be scat backs, quick to hit the hole and make fast cuts Nguyen is another example. Joey on the other hand is a very good power back that would rather run through the defense than make quick adjustments to avoid a tackle a good punishing back. I would hope this type of back would soften PSU's D enough to float a quicker rb later and catch them on their heals. PSU became vulnerable in the middle during the 2nd half as Cal Poly started to ramp up their running game. I guess none of this matters though if there is no holes being created by the "O".

It just seems this past couple seasons well 2010 on records are broken at UM.
First loosing season in 25 years
Out of playoffs in 2010 for first time many years.
Loose to NAU in WaGriz
Loose at NAU first time in 16 years I recall.
Now PSU coming to town looking to break a dry spell in WaGriz.

I do not mean to be negative but this game with the offense PSU has looks to be the makings for an upset. That tall wide reciver they have with Davis at RB and there load of a mobile QB this game has me really worried. I watched the CAL and Cal Poly games and we surely have reason to be concerned.

This could most definitely be the defining game of the season. Win and well that gives hope. We rack up anothe L and it could be bad here on out.

This. Don't know about you guys, but this game makes me real nervous - the same nervous pit in my stomach I had the week before the App game - I'll be a mess by Saturday. I hope the Griz play like they did against App (motivation, focus, intensity, execution, etc.) because if they do, it's atonement for the NAU game and a renewed optimism for the rest of the season. If they don't, well, here we go again......

No.

To be honest, I'm deathly afraid of Homecoming Weekends. I have an unnatural fear of running into one of my former paramours with their 10-25 year old delayed child in tow. It's not right, it just is.

Have fun!

PSU's not really tough on D.

Debatable -

3rd in BSC in scoring defense
4th in Pass Defense efficiency
2nd in Sacks
4th in Red Zone Defense
and in the top 3 in Tackles for Loss

If you are basing your perception of PSU's defense on a single game in which they had only four days of rest, and their ranked opponent had a bye week to prepare, then by all means they were not "tough" going down the stretch.

My assessment is this game could really be decided on special teams, and that might be the Vik's Achilles heal. (and by the way, an earlier poster indicated that the PSU fans were wrongly spelling the term "Viks" and that it is supposed to be "Vikes". Sorry, it always has been Viks and always will be Viks).

PSU 75 UM 2. PSU snaps a punt out of the end zone for the griz lone score.

Just kidding. Griz 42 PSU 20 and it won't be that close. Not in Missoula for a conference game. I honestly feel sorry for them coming into Wa-griz after last week. They are going to get trounced.
