My bigger concern is if Stitt still can bring in the talent needed to run his show at UM. I say this because of all of the less than positive happenings and events over the past few years.
Let's hope the new Champions Center has a huge impact.

Here’s to a restful week off, some improved health from the team, and hopefully a better game in two weeks!
GO GRIZ!
And you consider yourself a writer? 98.7% of the readers stopped paying attention to your post after you mentioned Pflugrad's daughter. C'mon, you're better than that, Mr. T!!MrTitleist said:Remember when Pflugrad shifted us from a pro style offense to a zone-read offense and we spent the first year bitching that Pflugrad was stupid and his only good quality was his daughter? Everyone was chirping that the cupboards were bare, Bobby left us with a mess, blah blah blah. Oh, then in year two we were 11-3 playing the FCS semi-finals, a game we probably should have won. You would think that Griz fans would be smart enough to learn from that experience.. obviously I was mistaken.

This is the part that I can't stand. Fair weather fans. The most upsetting part of being part of such a tremendous football program. We are very lucky to have what we have- it's unique to all other states- some similar, like North Dakota & perhaps Idaho. This is the big game & we are always at the forefront, win or lose. I will cheer for this team if we went 0-6, but I have a sinking feeling there wouldn't be many of us. Which hurts my heart. . . .

I've always loved the fair weather fan bull from the people who reside in Missoula. I have attended every home game since 1989. During that time I got the kids in the car early in the morning(ages 1-18 over the years) and drove to missoula to watch the football games. I've hit 3 deer, slid off icy roads, not to mention the cost of travel, and rubbed frozen toes when the kids were cold. I bucked up whenever the athletic dept. asked for money(even when I didn't have it). My wife and I are now solo yet both my kids travel to Missoula from their current homes to meet us because of their deep Griz roots. Both are at msu because of curriculum decisions and still travel to Missoula to watch football. It worries me because I've experienced the dangers first hand. So in two weeks when the Missoula crowds leaves the game try and remember that we fair weather fans are in route to our homes. By the way I'm not impressed with the offense. It lacks leadership and is predictable........whoops sorry I if offended the real football fans.
The Griz were 7-4 under Pflu in his first year; anyone I know would take 7-4 at this point. Pflu was not too proud to thumb his nose at 3 points when it meant increasing chances for a W. Pflugrad is now basically unemployed. Stitt still has a job. I'd say let's not get too twisted out of shape about conventional wisdom when it comes to coaching decisions. This fan base knew from day of if Stitt being on the job that conventional coaching is completely out the window.. in fact, the national media knew this years ago. This place would be the total opposite had one of those 4th downs converted and either was a TD, or became a TD.
That didn't happen did it; with a third string QB in his first game, the probability was not so hot. The FGs were a pretty sure bet and would have been about the equivalent of the elusive TD you're dreaming about. The kind of "unconventional coaching" that turns W's to L's.... Like it all you want; most Griz fans don't.MrTitleist said:This place would be the total opposite had one of those 4th downs converted and either was a TD, or became a TD.
