A lot of people have mentioned that ROOT SPORTS tv commercial that aired all season, the one where Prukop said that last years Brawl of the Wild is "burned into my memory" and that in 2015 "I will be ready"...and that "I've had years of preparation".
His brain must have combust after this current memory.

He represents his school, that's for sure. The bluster, the braggadocio, he was causing some internal unhappiness with it all as he was basically saying that he was just that much better than Jake Bleskin, and couldn't wait for the chance to prove it, as the game would have turned out differently last year. Bleskin is well-liked, and that wasn't sitting too well. And of course, Cat fans were pumping it all up that both QBs would be starting QBs anywhere else in the top half of the FCS.
Well, after the hype about being an "elite" program and having convinced themselves that they were, that has all really come crashing down this season, and the bad news really started with last year's 34-7 thumping in Missoula. Prukop's been starting for most of the games, but this year's record does not demonstrate that he's any better than Bleskin, and the program hardly has a claim to be an "elite" program in the FCS when it finishes in the bottom half of the BSC. With its 1st string QB.
The handwriting is pretty clear. Momentum is one of those things that sustains successful business and elite programs and Cat fans realize that there is no momentum. The air has gone out of the tires. They lost yet again, in front of a handful of potential recruits on site, and all the rest of them on TV.
They've put a ton of money into facilities, put over-the-top psychological investment in how good they thought they were, put themselves in an elite position they never actually reached, and blam, they are at the bottom of the heap, and no one has any decent excuses to offer. The QB thinks he's the hottest thing since Johnny Unitas, and the fan base thinks so too. The facilities are pretty decent, but now it seems like a different team belongs in them.
It's more than a "beatdown."
