It speaks volumes about your class and character. You are just the coach of the Montana Grizzlies. It's just the game of football, there is way more to life that your football team. You can keep winning but doing things like this isn't going to get you many fan points. Thanks for making it easier for me to sit up in my tree stand or lay in a field for geese on Saturday mornings instead of watching your GODS of the university play football. As I will not attend another game that you coach due to your childish antics you dirtbag.
racehorsewilly said:I think the whole episode is pretty simple.. The kaimin is a newspaper that reports what it feels is newsworthy...Bobby Hauck is a coach who has no obligation to read their paper or even acknowledge they exist... The kiamin wrote a story that Bobby didn't like, and they now think he owes them something?? This is a wakeup call to the "student reporters etc", because real life is this way. Speak your mind, but don't expect favors from those who disagree...Wipe the tears and accept life.....

I want to make sure everyone reads how simple this whole thing is...Great post racehorse![]()
WILD_CAT said:Is it just me? Or does 2 football players beating up a guy until he is unconscious (then kicking him in the head over and over) justify a new story for the Kaimin? Hauck just didn't want more of his Thuggery getting out to the media. Now it has exploded onto the National scene. Great job Hauck, make yourself bigger than your team and now you have your team involved in it. That is GREAT LEADERSHIP!
WILD_CAT said:Aren't Griz fans finally getting ashamed of having UM's name drug through the mud 2-3 times a year because of the football team?
Yes they do. Too bad they're not getting ALL the facts.WILD_CAT said:People in Missoula need to know the facts.

The irony can not POSSIBLY escape him. :|
Tailbone said:Actually, it's not that simple.
It might have been, but the Kaimin has raised the bar.
Their attempt to embarrass the athletic department and coach Hauck, by publishing a deliberately inciteful edition of the Home-coming game-day program was designed to "up the ante". I don't think it had the intended effect. Now the sword has been taken up by a Missoulian reporter (who has ties to the Kaimin) and consequently the story has found its way to national media.
The problem is not that the story lives on.....the problem is that public opinion is being formed based on the print media's side of the story, sans relevant facts that might offer some justification for Hauck's attitude and response.
