Playoff Selection Show

The loss to Sac turned out to be huge. Cost us home field throughout. They took care of bizness with the schedule they had, won the BSC and deserved to be a high seed after being dissed the whole year.
If we take care of bizness @ home then we will probably have 2 tough road games - JMU and NDSU. We definitely got the toughest half of the draw.
Nova got hammered by William and Mary and still got a higher seed than us. Our 2 close losses to seeded playoff teams apparently don't compare to losing to your FBS team and an average FCS team.

I wonder if having Haslam on the committee hurts us as he has to excuse himself from any discussion re:us. Would having another BSC AD who is able to stick up for our conference be better?

That's probably the only thing that got them in. 6-5, AKA the Billy's Quickie Gas Strippers and Truck Stop Bowl if they were 1-A.

Along with that, Two 7-4 teams on our side of the bracket, while the other side only has 8 wins or more.

Who should be there instead of them? Six D1 wins. Wins over Sac St(BSC champs) and perennial power SDSU. Close loss to #7 Iowa St. 3 of 4 FCS losses were to playoff teams. I think they earned the right to enter a 24 team playoff field. I see Elon, Mercer, and Weber as the only other teams that had an argument and UNI has a better resume then any of them.

Well, SDSU beat NDSU, but that's the only team in D1 that they beat with a winning record.

Would love to host the Eags. IF they get past UNI. I like our chances. First thing I thought of was 2008 and Weebs. They beat us in the regular season in Ogden and yet had to come up here in the playoffs ... pissed. And positive they'd have no trouble doing it again. Look how well that turned out. :thumb:
 
I'm wondering if our rematch with EWU gets us ESPN2 again. Supposedly all the second round games are on ESPN+ but you never know.
