Very poorly...If half of what I was told is true! His illness and medical issues were never taken seriously by the University.

What I heard really disturbed me because he gave his heart to this program, community and fans. When the time came for them to give the compassion he needed in return from UM Athletic Department, they completely failed to do so.

I was also told that Stitt never reached out to the family in any capacity and that Kent essentially told his father that he needed to allow his son to grow up because "he was an adult now...he doesn't need you to be as involved!"

I know he wasn't a "montana kid" but if true, this is completely unacceptable in my mind.

Guess some may come down to who they trust to actually tell how they really feel. Wouldn't expect a player to outwardly criticize a coach, but what is said in a safe environment is an entire different thing. We can just agree to disagree on the Stitt love factor. I don't think kids will start a coup, but that doesn't mean they will run through walls either. Maybe (hopefully) Stitt will see the issue and take steps to bring the team together.

The program supported him through the year he had to withdraw. They welcomed him back. Kent was the AD through all of that. The school helped him get his waiver to gain a six year of eligibility. I find what you are implying hard to believe.

Do you think Stitt wouldn't have wanted a Senior Ellis Henderson with all these freshman? The NCAA has rules and the waiver likely came with conditions. There are only so many things either Haslam or Stitt could even have done in those situations. For example, if you don't go to class, you may fail, and you may lose your eligibility. If that is due to medical issues, Haslam and Stitt couldn't make that call even if they wanted to.

Are you out of your GD mind? Are they? Did you see what happened Saturday? You have no credibility if you think anyone can look at three team players that saw what has happened the last four games, including that one, and "have nothing but good to say." That's beyond delusional.

Experienced observers, players, coaches, etc. can see tangible evidence when a coach "loses" a team. If you review the comments over the past four games, in particular the comments from Stitt himself ("no fire," "been that way for a while"), but from any knowledgeable observer (and many have posted), the Griz have been "going through the motions."

The lack of intensity is exactly what happens when a team loses confidence in its coach. As one poster noted, Stitt hollering and screaming at players finally reached the ultimate destination: it didn't do any good. The kids are tired of it and don't care. There is no other way to explain how the UM Grizzlies can lose to a bunch of teenagers and a first year coach at WaGriz. The UM Football team stopped playing to win four games ago. Stop pretending.

Stitt took full responsibility. He described much of the criticism I have directed to him, and acknowledged it. You continuing to deny it simply looks idiotic. He and I agree, although he was pretty much in a corner of self-creation. What was his alternative? Odd that you continue to disagree with the coach you so admire. Kind of like Ferguson last December, right? Anybody that said that Stitt was not behind Gregorak 1000% was a Stitt-hater. Indeed, they might even have an agenda!! Gregorak was gone six days later.

Genius stuff.

How many players have you talked to, 75? It appears that you have passing off your assumptions of the team's views of the coach as fact. That, or you have talked first hand to the players and are relaying their beliefs to the public. It is scary that someone whose is not a member of the program, would be loudly and repeatedly voice their biased assumptions to the readership of the board (which includes potential recruits, parents, and valued boosters) on a team's collective views as fact based on observations made from just watching the games or the tweets of a few selected former players.
