Pflu to Weber

Three thoughts:

1. Those int KNOW say JJ was 100 percent committed to coming back to the Griz, but NOW in the middle of his trial, he's headed to Weber??????? LMAO. Maybe some Cat posters are right when they call this place "As the Griz Turn".

2. CONGRATS to Robin, he deserves the opportunity. Weber would not have hired him if Robin was nothing short of a standup human being!

3. i HATE that he's going to be coaching against the Griz. He will have Weber as a high-scoring team, no doubt in my mind.

I KNOW!!!... how will we ever defend against those 3-quarterbacks-on-the-field-at-one-time, 18 bubblescreens-a-game, school record-three-and-out offenses that he put on the field for us... At least if he's doing the QB recruiting for Weeb's, all we have to do is put 6'2" defensive linemen on the field to block their vision and play our safeties ten yards from the line of scrimmage. I'm shakin' in my boots already at the thought!!! :?

Well, he's a huge step up from Timm Rosenbach. :ugeek: :ugeek:

For those fans that are going to give Pflu a standing O when he walks on the field followed by the NEZ treatment (which is rapidly becoming a memory like the old BB ZOO) has something changed in how OC coaches? Are they on the field now? (except of course at Montana where we have one on the field and in the booth)
good question - I had not considered that Pflu might be in the box. That would be a bummer.

With Weber's schedule, they may not win more than two games...... not the type of record which would lead to him getting another head job. Because of his age, I think his days as a head coach are over.

I am not concerned at all about him becoming the O-coordinator there. He is an offensive genius, as some of you like to make him out to be.

You mean that offense and athletes that nearly took the Griz to the National Championship game two seasons ago? Cuz that team really sucked!

Dont see it mentioned but this could also impact us for recruiting. Currently EWU & PSU actively recruit the Pacific Northwest as much as we do. MSU, ISU and UND have been improving. Not seen to many Oregon or Washington kids going to Weber, but I bet we do now!

He's already hard at work at Weber. I think Weber's talent level and play are pretty bad. He's going to have to work alot of overtime for them to improve. Good luck to him. I'll be one giving him a standing ovation in Griz stadium.

RP may be in the box for the game but there is nothing that prevents him from coming out to take a bow before the game starts. I hope he does and it would be great for it to be announced. I believe the response would send the strongest possible message to the person (or persons) who thought he needed to be "non-renewed".

As for the lack of performance RP's first year in Montana, it is clear that he wanted to run an offense for which he lacked the personnel. His mistake might have been that he tried to make the transition too fast but sometimes you need to commit and don't look back. That seemed to be his choice and it was his choice to make. I never heard him make excuses or whine about the rather dissappointing outcome. I respect him for that and I expect a similar transition and outcome for Weber this year.

I had pretty much decided, for a variety of reasons and some personal, not to renew my season tickets for next year. Now I have to re-consider. I would dearly love to be in the stadium on the day that Robin Pflugrad returns to the field and participate in the standing ovation that he so richly deserves.

Play was bad last year, I'll agree. But there is talent in this program. Lots of left over recruits from Coach Mac, and Mac was a great recruiter. And RB Bo Bolen returns this season. He has all-conference talent. Biggest question mark will be at the QB spot where we lost two year starter Hoke.

I guarantee if Jody gives Pflu the reigns to the offense and you have him for at least two years, you'll be a top 3 BSC offense.

He's that good.

I seriously hope he can somehow come back here, though I doubt it'll ever happen.

I agree with you. Some of these fans seem to have gotten amnesia about the horrible offense we had his first season in Grizland. And, if he is such an offensive genius, why was he unable to get promoted to an offensive coordinator position at his many stops in FBS football, most of which resulted in him getting fired?

wait and see Griz meister....RP is the best coach we've had in almost two decades. He would've won multiple championships here, which of course would not stop you from spewing your bullshit.
