I brash swagger jockey that doesnt give one fu*k what you or anyone else thinks. A guy willing to drop another TD on a team while we are up 30 with 2 mins left. A guy that would once again make WGS one of the most fierce environments a team can come into. There isnt a candidate named on this site the last 15 years that has a better grasp of Xs and Os than the bionic mind of Pease.

Right now teams want to come play here and kick our ass like they have been doing lately and especially in the playoffs................... if we even make them.

It's a pipe dream to think Jonathon Smith or Brent Pease would come here given their current situation. I can't imagine Tim hauck coming either considering the opportunity he has in the NFL coaching ranks.

Not true at all. Pease wants this job. I know for a fact that he has reached out to people in Missoula in the past two days gauging what kind of support he would have in the community for the job. Not rumor or innuendo. Fact.

We aren't in conference stats, but even so, being the best defense in a historically weak defensive year in the Big Sky doesn't have me all that excited. We still couldn't stop the better offensive teams when it mattered (going on three years now).

And with the quality of defensive players we've had the last three years, the fact that we struggled as much as we have is entirely on Ty's shoulders.

I'm not asking for NDSU's defense, but some consistency would be nice.

Let's not assume to know what is motivating any candidate to consider the position. Money is not the only thing in life, especially if you already have a pretty good chunk in reserves. To live in zoo town, make 250 to 350 K, possibly be the head coach of your alma mater, have the reigns of one of the best FCS programs in the nation that could become FBS- could be priceless for the right person (let's not forget their spouse/children as well).

I also have seen no indication that he is able to make game-adjustments to stop what his opponent is doing. But my biggest criticism of him, is the style of defense he runs. Too many Paulson memories. I like Breske's style of defense.
