There's an awful lot of discussion about the MSU BOBCATS and our coach over here... keep it up! I'd think someone would maybe start a thread about your own coach, Bob Stint, and discuss what the odds are that this experiment works? Is he the one that will lead you to once again being able to compete for a Big Sky title... or is it still going to be MSU and EWU battling it out for the title as it has been for the past five years?
Griz win the Big Sky this year.

So if I'm looking for another job I should accept that job and leave my current job on zero days notice?

If I'm not happy with my wife I should marry someone else before I get a divorce?

If I place an order at a restaurant, but then decide I'm hungry for something else I should get up and leave?

That's the ridiculous line of thinking you're adopting here?

Like almost all coaches not named bobby Petrino, Ash informed his employer that he was putting in for another job. The folks at Drake don't dislike Rob Ash. Ash is one of the most respected coaches in football. There are things you can dislike about Ash, but this isn't one of them.

Was the baby Ron Ash under a contractual commitment with Drake when he left them in a described "two minute drill" to find a new coach? Hmmmm....
Keep trying!

Keep trying? That's hilarious. You can quit playing dumb anytime.

Have you not heard of a buy out clause? If he was under contract he could exercise that clause. Ash is in good standing with Drake. I believe the two schools had a home and home shortly after he "broke his commitment".

I guess you agree that he couldn't honor his commitment and left his former school in a "two minute drill" to find a replacement. What a hypocrite.

"I'm thrilled for Rob (Ash) because he is a man of character who put our brand of football on the map," added Hatfield Clubb. "He laid a solid foundation for us and Drake is a better place as a result."

From his former star RB:

Losing him would not be easy, according to running back Scott Phaydavong, who will be a senior next season.
"He's a great coach for Drake, so it's kind of a shocker that he would want to move somewhere else," Phaydavong said from Des Moines Monday. "It's hard for me to believe that he would go to another team right before (preseason) camp was about to start, but if it's a situation where he can't pass up then I understand. The fight goes on."

Looks like the player can understand. I guess Ash only cares about breaking commitments when he's not bettering himself. Nobody else should be able to go for a better situation at Ash's expense. What a baby.

Once a classless hypocrite, always a classless hypocrite.
I hope he coaches State U forever! Makes them look very silly.

As long as he continues the tradition of making the Bobcats look ridiculous, you can call him whatever you want.

I suppose we will have to wait and see. For now I will give him the benefit of the doubt and go ahead and assume he will perform like a mediocre DII coach. I forsee the words" Bust" and "Gimmicky" next to Shitt's picture in the newspaper.

Of course you will...now run along and be sure to report back in December, no sooner though.

Don't attempt to reason with a Kool-Aid swilling sugar coater, who never played athletics at any level, and who lives vicariously through the exploits of his fantasy world team. dDake loved, and still ,loves Ash. He did what any coach would do when given a chance to double or triple his salary and move up in class.

What I find most amusing about dbag cat trolls like Gwen, ironracist and poorcats--isn't their level of "commitment" to being a dbag cat troll--it's how truly disconnected they are with the fanbase. If they actually left their mom's basement and talked to a real cat fan face-to-face, they'd realize most real cat fans hate Ole Ronny OneTime.
