I'm shit faced drunk...been shooting guns off my porch all day...will continue.

Pretty coherent post.

Took me almost 10 minutes

Time to put the guns away . . . . if it takes as long to load as it did to write your post, you could have had a couple more drinks!! When you have to choose between drinking and reloading, I think drinking is the way to go --

You make an excellent point. A point I may or may not listen to.

GO GRIZ!!!!!
Can you guys imagine what UM woulda done to them if they woulda came out passing all game?!?

Can you guys imagine what CP woulda done to them if the refs would have called a fair game?

Ahhh don't be at guy

The refs have no relation to Montana or Poly. They are flown in from other states. They got most of the calls right and picked up the flag on what would have been a big one against Poly. Poly defense holding Montana to 14 points in regulation, I'd take that any day. Being shutout in the 2nd half isn't good. The blocked punt and FG, the OT interception, the correct untimely penalties did more damage to the team than the 2 or 3 ref calls and Poly still came 1 play from pulling of a nice upset.

hollee Hell!!! I was pissed, gave up, got ready to leave, sat down to atleast watch my griz take the "L" and we get a blocked punt!!! then the blackout on Cheapass Kulr8! atleast thankful i can type 300pm, registered, logged into bigskytv and caught the coin toss... was exciting at home aswell. hahha Go Griz, now i am going to EWU game for sure.

Dumbest thing CP did all day was allow the Griz to select WHICH END ZONE to play the OT in. If they'd been smart, they would have selected the OTHER end, and not cared who had the ball first.

Griz will take a lot from this game. Realize that even a bad game can still lead to a win. Lot of momentum now heading into that game with EWU next week. A game I believe we will win.

This and the comment from SloStang sum up the game quite well. Awesome defense from both teams, especially in the second half. While I remember special teams winning the game for us in the past, it was from kickoff and punt returns not special teams defense.

Hard to believe a topic title like this could be an understatement but it is. WOW!

The refs did not win this game. The Griz did. Good teams do not out themselves in the position for a couple of bad calls (very bad call on the fumble) to cost them the game. Cal Poly had numerous opportunities to put this game away and did not. Montana had many opportunities to fold and did not. Hats off to the Griz.
I was confused to why the Prevent never showed up. Pass after pass after out of bounds. I honestly believe if the Griz woulda came out firing down field the out come woulda been very different. But instead they put Van on a pair of crutches and Canada got his ass beat down all day long. I'm surprised JJ racked up 242 yards after basically doing nothing all day long til the last 2:17 of the game.

They all say to go on defense first in OT. I would have to agree with you AZ on this one though. Montana had all the momentum and playing in the OT, and playing in the north EZ was not good. It would have been better to defer and pay in the south EZ and give the D a breather and try to take back the mo on offense. Oh well. Great game.

Yep. Not only the wrong end of the field, but put their tired D right back out onto the field...bonehead call if you ask me.

I'm really glad it went the way it did....had the griz d held cal poly first, Delaney would've taken three knees and tried a 48 yard field goal.

Wished he had tried a field goal earlier in the game.

Noticed in a few threads on other boards, that some CalPoly fans are blaming their coaches....lol. Interesting how everyone blames the coaches when it goes wrong, and give kudos to the kids when it goes right. The interesting thing is, I bet that's exactly how the coaches would prefer it to be anyway.

btw we are 6-1.....but our coaches suck. I think egriz fans are about 2-5 for confidence in our team. Take our coaches ANY day of the week over the armchair whiners.

I feel the same way about Cal Poly fans. Our coaches suck according to some fans, but they took a top ten team to OT on the road in the toughest stadium in the FCS. Something says that a coaching staff that sucks would rolled in a similar situation. They give the coaching staff no credit for even making it a game. We were huge underdogs and for a few plays (blocked punt and FG) we pull off a HUGE upset. Easy to second guess after the fact. I am like all fans and second guess a few coaching decisions (like going to a 3 man rush on the last drive), but I am also know that they put together a great team and game plan that put them in a position to come so close to pulling off a huge upset.

Fifty-seven minutes of not very inspiring football, followed by 3 minutes of on the edge of your seat excitement. I was amazed at the number of people who left and came back for the final 2 minutes.
And the roar in overtime had to be the loudest I have ever heard.

I haven't been a fan of this coach since last year and all the bone headed crap he pulled. I still don't like him or the playcalling. The playcalling has been pretty vanilla ever since the ND game and to say it hasn't been is to have your head up Delaney's a$$

Obviously you don't know him...I don't know anyone that does that doesnt like him. I'll take 6-1 from Delaney any day over a great coach that is sitting at 3-3 or 3-4.
