OFFICIAL! Montana vs UNI Game Thread

Did not see the game. What happened with Rosey in the second half to put up a goose egg?
 
There was a game last year that went almost exactly like this. The Griz rolled in the first half barely held on or maybe even lost. Don’t remember which it was. Hauck was out-coached in the second half.
 
At least six times the ball was out & for some reason we couldn’t manage to find one. Not a criticism of the kids - just how f$&king lucky bounces sometimes are.
 
The execution dropped off, young team, mistakes, lots of good to take away and lots of coaching to take care of the bad. Go GRIZ!!

I think their O-lineman #75 had 4 fumble recoveries. :lol:

If only he’d have worn a green hat. He could have been out-coached both halves.

This was the best special teams play anyone has seen in four or more years. Minus flowers mess up, it was the difference in this game.

Hard to say why the Griz had no running game. As I said in an earlier post, MVFC teams play to shut down the run ... and they're very good at it. Factor in an inexperienced OL and you most likely have the answer. Luckily, making the Griz "one dimensional" did not quite work. Sneed, the OL, and the receivers did what they had to do at the end.

Was it pretty? Only in the first half. But ... first game under a new (this time around) staff with a complete overhaul of the roster, game approach, etc. ... I'll take a win, thanks.

Oh, and just so we don't forget (FWIW) UNI was ranked, preseason, #13 vs the Griz at #24.
 
A) several times Sneed took off even with a perfect pocket formed around him.
B) Running game...absent
C) Clock management...if they’d have managed the clock better the two drives BEFORE the last one there wouldn’t have BEEN a last one....
D) Special teams...looked like Stitt came back about 3 minutes into the 4th quarter to coach special teams...never seen so many basic mistakes made in such a short time....
E) Refs weren’t anything special, but god DAMN that was a piss poor spot on the 4/17 play. Isn’t that challengable?
 
This sounds like bobcat nation after our win. Only we played a good second half and you guys played a good first half. Same result though!
