Other than 1995 Montana, can you name another team with a similar offensive philosophy that has won a national title?? Those air raid systems are meant for programs that cannot get the top talent. You can win lots of games but never win it all. We had a generational QB and were the first in the door at this level to implement those offensive concepts. Not easily repeatable.

Brent has been an OC at five different FBS schools and two FCS including his first OC gig at UM back in 96-98. If the Griz can simply get more diverse in their run schemes and use their athletes more they immediately should be better offensively. Can Brent be the coordinator to do that or do you all expect more of the same from the run scheme?

I wish we would get some young coaches in here that u first and how the modern game works. 90s offenses are 3 decades old.

Mostly same guys in different places. We’ll see how this plays out but I’m not at all excited about the change. We need new young blood running these groups. I’m more excited about the defensive change than I am about moving around the same guys with the same 3 decade old experience.

Hope it works. Not holding my breath.

Seems to run in this coaching staff to one degree or another…so I’d guess not.

I have been to lots of practices and know most of the coaches. I have never noticed a large amount of yelling or profanity. Sacks probably made the most noice at practice, and he was also very funny. I think you guys are exaggerating and speaking old news. Pease, in particular, is apparently much more mellow than the old days;

How many practices have you attended since Hauck returned.

According to the players I know, Pease is (and I'm paraphrasing) a curmudgeon but knows what he's doing.. players I know that played for him and with him in the past mostly agree he's not as volatile but makes it clear not to pizza him off.

Coach Ericson is respected and liked by the players I've talked with.
And on D they LOVE Bradford. If he becomes a head coach somewhere he's going to do well.

I just remember him back in the day... it was verbal bomage where when I was in the 15th row I heard him the whole game... Truly hope he has changed, that was stupid

I wish we would get some young coaches in here that u first and how the modern game works. 90s offenses are 3 decades old.

Mouse Davis was 52 years old when he perfected the run and shoot offense. Although not the inventor of the offense, he is considered the godfather of it. June Jones was 45 when he tweaked it at Hawaii - or if you prefer he modernized it.

Then that was the modern game, and age of coaches has absolutely nothing to do with how modern the game is. So many other factors do.

By the way, the run and shoot was invented in 1958, but not considered en vogue until starting 30 years later. I guess 3 decade old offenses were good enough then.

Seems it's like they're rearranging the deck chairs.

Yes but the deck chairs were just kinda scattered around to begin with. Now they’re organized a little better.

I want to say ewu comes the closest...but, agree it's not the recipe in the here and now.

I agree its designed for programs that can't get top talent. The Griz will never have a offensive line dominant enough to win big games with Bobby's offense. I believe your comment is insightful but its easier to get one outstanding player than it is to get 5.

You have no clude what "Bobby's Offense" is this year. And this will be a top 3 OL in the Big Sky this year IMO. Everybody returns including two All-Big Sky AND great depth. The haters will hate though .... they live for it.

Gilman barring injury will rush for 1000 yards this year.

Write this one down. Barring injury, 55 will be the best o-lineman in the BSC this season.

I've watched bobbys offense for 20 years and have always disliked it. I know exactly what his offense will be. I'm trying to be optimistic of change with Pease as new OC but I'm really not. I couldn't see any difference between Phenocies offense and Rosys except Phenocie had some decent linemen most years. Bobby is somewhat of a dictator.
