No more spring camp live tweets (this year)

From very good sources (usual e-griz) the reason the practices are closed is they do not want any of the following filmed:

1. Coin flip preparation

2. Punt return formations

3. Duct taping of the head phones to the HC

4. QB competition starting at 20 yds to give everyone a chance.

5. 15 yd gaps to the WR's on defense

first, thr above is funny stuff !! second, this is a bummer for sure, b/w i always looked forward to your input.. third, b/w, have you heard how they are going to update the progress of the griz team during spring practice ???? i hope they have some way of keeping the griz faithful in the loop on a daily basis...

Was wondering when this was going to happen. Boise State closed their practices last spring and if I remember correctly even a couple of scrimmage's to the public. I think the press could attend the scrimmages but am not positive about that. This practice seems to be becoming more and more common place now with all the social media out there and most coaches are a little paranoid anyway...

I am going to have a long spring now without BWahlberg's reports. I enjoyed every one of them. The bar will be high for the scrimmage reports now.

I concur with this list being funny. Unfortunately, it's more than likely true. It's going to be another "hoot"

Well, we also didn't have the Internet in our pockets, nor the ability to instantly share practice info to everyone in the world.

As much as I was looking forward to it, it makes sense this year.

Actually not far off. However, Obama does not have the balls to pull any strings by himself. The CIA calls the shots and he gets credit when it works. Anyway, it has been almost 30 years now since I have worked at the agency, but I was able to call in a favor to the only remaining contact I have left there. He was kind enough to lend me the controls to an unmanned drone because they didn’t have much action going on in the Middle East today. Seems the terrorists have taken to the caves again in fear of the drones. But I digress. I was able to catch parts of the practice today, but the streaming video feed in my van is not the best (it is mostly outdated equipment. Maybe egrizers can do a fundraiser for new surveillance equipment in return for info?). I might be able to borrow the drone for some more practices, but most likely not all of them. Here is what I was able to catch today.

-JJ split time with the ones. Did not appear to miss a beat. He’s good.

-Dave Paoli was in attendance. Apparently if you are responsible for the return of the QB you are not applicable to the locked gate policy.

-Running back from marshal looked good

-Lebsock is now a linebacker

-Kirshner is now a safety. Didn’t someone call that?

- TE from Oregon was present. Think someone called this too.

-Brian Maus was not there. Not sure why. Further surveillance required.

-Lots of 2 back and 2 tight end

-Thats all I got before turning the drone back over to the agency.

I see in the paper Fritz put that it's because of people putting videos of practices online. I would expect then this will carry over to fall camp as well since the staff will not want a lot of info leaked about the system they're running/using for the App game.

I'm glad they're keeping it under wraps but I would also like to see some spring ball. I seen a short clip on Q2 News here in Billings and seen JJ take a couple snaps but other than that... I got nothing out of it.
