Next Up at #2 Kansas 12/19

I do wish we had played Kansas earlier in the season though instead & had a more winnable game as the last D1 game on our non-conference schedule. My worry is that a couple beatings in a row (Washington and Kansas) might be a bit demoralizing and affect us negatively early on in conference. Hopefully not though.

That's the problem with scheduling above your weight like this; beatdowns are just beatdowns.

On the other hand, today's game showed that Bohening is coming into his own. Gfeller is getting loosened up. DeJong did some nice defense and a nice bucket that even got the attention of the game play announcers. Lopez did some very good defense.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the conference.

The reality for this season is this was a tough, tough OOC schedule but should pay dividends. If the Griz can't come out and play at a high level in conference then this team learned nothing from these games. They will play no one at the level of Kansas, Washington or Gonzaga in conference. You get used to playing against high level of competition - hopefully it ends in a conference championship and back to the dance where playing another Kansas etc won't be an eye opening experience for these kids
