Based on a significant shortfall, so this isn't additional money, it is money to cover the deficiency since they were shunned.

Yes, I know, what I was trying to stay, the WSU BOR in the past have been like Montana BOR, not really wanting to increase fees or fund athletics, but the WSU president convinced them that investing in sports is worth in, I don't see this being a one time fund, they will get 10-20 mil each now.

I think it is a one-time deal. The state of Washington doesn't have the $$$ to help Wazzu continue to what is basically living above their means. This is nothing more than a transitional handout.
Sometime this week. I’m thinking on Thursday when the next weekly update is provided. A finalist is coming to campus next Monday and Tuesday. This will give the public and campus community a chance to review their bio, and plan to be at UM for any open forum with the candidate. So short answer is within days.

Not sure that is accurate. They agreed that Wazzu needed the influx of cash to pay obligations, not enhance athletics for the future.
I don’t think anybody knows.
Well, the announcement by Clay of A/THE was 6 days ago. That person is supposed to be on campus next Monday. No additional candidates have been mentioned. Seems like the candidate is THE.

Yep. Not seeing any history of fund raising, but definitely experienced with a visionary mindset and a first hand knowledge of how strong athletic programs can benefit UM.

I'd be shocked if he was the finalist. That's pretty far outside the box.
I was thinking someone more along the lines of the interim president at Boise State. Or maybe even coaxing a guy like Thayne McCullough out of retirement.

David Sirmon is a candidate, but it does not sound like he’s the finalist. I’m not 100% sure, but it might actually be the Boise State interim president Jeremiah Shinn from what I’ve heard. If I get more info I’ll pass it along!
We don't have multiple finalists???
That IDK. It sounds like they’ve keyed in on one for now but may reconsider depending on how next week goes. Really haven’t been able to get a definitive answer from anyone.
