Not doubting you or Willie, but it is strange that this was tagged as a replica football jersey. Universal also has a new jersey by Adidas that has a similar look to it. I recognize that replicas all look different than the authentic team jerseys, but are you sure this isn't similar to the authentic jersey? It doesn't make sense that it would be marketed as a replica by both Nike and Adidas if it weren't.

The cat is out of the bag. The new replica uniforms are available at the M Store in downtown Missoula. They are pricey at $90, but they are definitely higher quality than past replica jerseys that sold for $60.

The jersey is solid maroon with Montana on front printed above the numbers. All lettering is in dark gray with black outlines. Each sleeve prominently displays the Griz paw. Gone are the black accents and weird stitching. They are very clean and classy looking with a nod to the past by bringing back the paw.

I do have a #23 basketball jersey from about 2006 (made by Colosseum Athletics) that still looks brand new because it was stitched on. It is authentic style yet I think I got it for under $30 at TJ Maxx in Missoula. I have never seen anything even close to that quality for a Montana jersey since then.

I want an authentic one with the stitch letters and numbers damnit!

Agreed. I will pay $100 for a stitched-on but those sticker ones have never made it a year before they have peeled in the past. I would rather pay $20 for a Griz t-shirt then spend that same money on something so cheap again.

I like them....go along with our team motto this year of united and who are the tough guys as m,d, said...rather plain by most standards today, but full of tradition...we are a basic hit you in the mouth team and our uniforms seem to say that....I like them...now, they will probably be end up not looking anything like this...oh well...

Hopefully at least lighter gray/silver than the last 3 years; there was insufficient contrast to read the numbers from the upper deck. The numbers should be outlined in white, not black.

Note the different shade of maroon on the current jersey next to it. Is it the lighting? Is it not a true replica? I like it much better then the current uni. Lots of different opinions on this. It will be interesting to see what the "real" uni looks like.
