I always wondered if Semore's twitter pictures were real or just a fun photoshop mock up for the playbooks.

Speculate. . . .
If these were to be the jerseys, I definitely like the number font. It just feels very Montana...

What does it take to become "Elite" status anyways? Is it program success/brand recognition? Willingness to sign into an exclusive contract? I think EWU has a similar deal with Adidas and doesn't MSU have Under Armor's version? Now, the deal to get is where Nike PAYS your school millions of dollars to wear their gear. I doubt anyone in the FCS has that, but I'm sure ESPN is working to get NDSU that sort of deal...

I personally found most of Nike's uniforms downright awful. They destroyed the look of the Seahawks and Buccaneers. Oregon's atrocious look speaks for themselves. UM's unis are among the rare Nike unis that actually look pretty decent.

UM is an elite status school because we get the first trials of all the new production material and we get it for discount. we get uniforms that wont be available to the rest of the nation until at least a year later. Nike also often will offer extreme discounts on our specialty uniforms to "try" a new design. The uniforms we get from NIKE would usually be much more costly to the university if we were not an elite school. neither EWU or MSU have a deal like this. They just have a standard uniform deal, everything they do is ordered by the university and their partners do little to nothing to design for them. Nike offers design concepts to the university for almost all of our uniforms.

UM is broke!..New unis will require jettisoning half dozen Main Hall V-P gophers to pay for'em. Doesn't Frau Engstrom have a sewing machine?

Was not choked up about the all-whites last season, and am hoping they get back to some closer to the normal & or throwback colors. The number of times the announcers messed up names last year has me hoping they do a better job with the numbers and contrasting colors. I don't think they will go back to names - someone said it costs less and they'll spend the savings on more combinations. It's what they do.

One word of advice - stop F$&king with us old people. Nothing good comes of it.

It has far less to do with UM being an "elite" school that it does with the Nike CFO being a UM grad.

The traditionalists are going to hate the new helmets. Players are going to love them. Very Oregonesque.

I've always been a fan of the silver helmets. That being said, that helmet rocks! And like it said in the article, uniforms and helmets like this are big in the recruiting game.

Those are sweet. I only wanna wear them a few times tho. I think the classic silver with maroon griz script is one of the cleanest best branded helmets around

These are bad ass! I had a hunch this staff would be much more with/ahead of the times with recruiting (not breaking news here, its obvious). This is a HUGE example, well done Stitt and Co. LOVE the swagger they continue to bring to this program. Can't wait to see all the new combos.

I hated the maroon home jerseys we had to endure. The pewter grey on the maroon was horrible. You need contrast so that numbers can be read.

However, I really liked the dark pewter jerseys and the white unis. Clear and crisp is best!

Yep, and he's now the COO.
