MSU @ SFA Game Thread

Cat fans cannot blame having DM out. That defense sucked big time. Could not stop the pass. SFA even ran well the few times they did run it. Cats have a lot of work to do. I am not saying this as a GRIZ fan either, but just from a football stand point.

True. Having DM out hurts obviously (Bleskin was..meh...) but their D gave up 567 yards total offense. 392 of those through the air, and 175 on the ground. SFA leading rusher went 24 carries for 157 yards (6.0 average), while Kirk averaged 2.2 yards a carry.

There are lots of problems right now in Catville. Out of the SFA, UND, and NAU games I thought the SFA one was going to be the most winnable for the Cats. FFS, SFA lost to Weber! Now the Cats have to deal with Hardin and UND, and then Bauman and NAU. Could be rough if they don't figure some things out on defense soon and find their running game.

Hopefully people take the high road and refrain from trolling BCN.

That being said...    at their defense

I must have watched a different game. I didn't see a defense.

I didn't think so either, thought Bledskin (well both of them) did pretty good. That's a lot of points.....just not enough to win if your defense is gawking at the chick in the plaid shirt, large breasts and huge axe.

I am surprised the Cats could not find a running game. SFA wanted no part of physical football. Their ball carriers ran away from contact. Defensively, the looked more of a finesse team as well. SFA defense was very passive. All a team had to do was get physical with them, and they would have rolled over. Looks the Cats are not a very physical team so far. They better change that. I guarantee NAU and the GRIZ will very physical with the Cats.

EWU and NAU are going to light them up like a christmas tree. My claim that they miss the playoffs still stands! :thumb:

Well at least NAU kind of sucks this year. The Cats might still have a fighting chance of making the playoffs :thumb:

Kirk is not a good RB. He may have a nose for the end zone but that's it. He is not fast, quick, or shifty. Doesn't make anybody miss. I wonder how many of his TDs are under 5 yards. He needs to be a short yardage back and nothing more. And their "amazing" linebackers were missing tackles all night. They looked average at best.

If their defense doesn't get shit figured out, UND may light them up as well. If that happens they are likely done.

It's absolutely hilarious to watch the wailing and gnashing of teeth going on at BM.com right now.

Not too shabby for a classic carb-faced, bad body guy.

The one thing that would be concerning for a cat fan would be the injury to # 84. Looked like a shoulder and he didn't return. He is a big part of that offense.

It's not trolling if you are just reading, is that right?

Absolutely! :thumb:
I don't plan on signing up for an account over there ever.

From what I've seen from the cats, had McGhee played this game it would've been a different story... Regardless of the suspect defense. They are hurting without him.

Some may flame you and me but I agree. The Irish lad has the IT factor, just like JJ (see last year). The lack of our difference maker was apparent last year and I'd bet this is the same for the Cats until DM returns.

He is the leader too its tough to lose the leader on the field

Not a Cat fan but I'd love to have Kirk on my team. He runs with purpose like Chase did. It's not on him that his O line is sub par. Simple as that.
