Well I hear the AD is making the new coach keep most of the previous staff in place which most coaches would not be a fan of so unemployed was probably the best option.

It seems retention of recruits is more important than getting the right HC. Maybe they should just promote one of the assistants and get on with it if that's their priority.

The seven players on the search committee must be eminently qualified so maybe they can handle it.

Holy smokes did I hear a bomb today. Remember all that talk about “issues” between Choach and the NCAA, BSC, and/or MT BOR?

Well, I heard today that the reason we’re not playing the spring season is because Choach indicated he was leaving. The theory goes like this: he told MSC he was leaving, they panicked because of the timing and up-coming season, and pushed the first domino to cancel! If you follow to its natural end, MSC could not cancel unless UM did too. 😐

Could this be true? I heard look at the timing. Only one D1 school without a HC on national signing day? Does not seem like a regular time for HC searches. Could that be why their top candidates include a retired fisherman and a recently twice dismissed look-alike?
 
This 'process' has gone on and on and on. At this point, who would want the job? He'd appear to be their 29th choice. He'd show up at the press conference, not in the traditional suit and tie, but in a tee-shirt stained with todays lunch, spinach stuck in the gaps between his teeth, belch during his acceptance speech, and pass gas. :lol:

You might be putting a tad too much stock in message board banter. Just because you hear a name on Egriz doesn't mean anything. Do you how many interviews they have conducted? Have they offered anyone the job and got turned down? Are candidates you're reading about today brand new, or have they been involved in the process for the last week and a half?

I don't know these answers, but if you do I'd love to hear them!
