More Departures?

Tm left because he's not committed? Don't think so. He changed positions. There is definitely one big old problem

Are you talking about the guy who's dentures fall out when he yells at the players?

Tm may have change positions, but he didn't make it in the new one. A college QB needs to understand coming in he'll either be the starter and play damn near every down when his time comes or he'll spend 4 years watching the game. There seldom is anything between. For that position commitment has nothing to do with it. he wasn't going to play even if JJ went down. Its tough but its reality. TM isn't the first one..........

Not in our present system. As stated before, he was recruited for a spread offense.

Even if TV isn't eligible, I still don't think it's that huge. I have all the faith in the world that JC will be a first-team all-conference running back this season, and Counts and Nyguen will be just fine. :D

Every year we have players come and go, it is part of college football. Some are great players that maybe played or didn't play, others just didn't live up to their potential or maybe just realized that they don't have what it takes. The Sky is not falling. Every player who decides to leave has a reason and a lot of them may blame the coach(es) or the system, or whatever, but it does not mean that an entire team feels this way. This happens at all levels and will continue at all levels. While I hate to see kids leave the program, it is reality and hopefully others will step up to fill those openings or new kids brought in and given a chance.

I remember a while back, we had a QB leave the team and his family publicly criticized the coaches and the same conversation took place at that time. This really is nothing new, so let's move on and support the players and coaches. I wish all of those departing the best of luck in what they do, this will not be the last time in their lives that they wil have to deal with something like this.

"jordan" harper is my guess. we have jordan canada, jordan johnson, and jordan hines. travon "van". think like alpha.

Applying this logic, one of these individuals if I recall had grade problems before. So can we assume that that person is the mysterious other player leaving because of academic issues?

Will be highly disappointed if Travon is ineligible. In spite of our deep stable of running backs, Van brings a totally unique dynamic to the offense. His ability to split out wide and catch balls out of the backfield (in addition to his very obvious running skills) makes him a very dangerous weapon. When he was injured last year, our offense seemed to hit a run. Now I'm not it was all due to Van, but there is no question, we are a much more effective unit with him on offense. The only plus side to Van being out of the lineup is that we may get a chance to see Favors and his blazing speed get some PT. I'm hoping, if this is true, that Travon can somehow rally over summer session and regain eligibility.

Let's not lose sight of the reason Mick is still the coach. Rightly or wrongly, he is perceived to have returned "discipline" to the team. He's still here because the U wanted to reward him for returning that perception to the public eye, not because he's the coach they think will win the most games.

According to Mick who got up and spoke after the Cat Griz Golf Tourney here in Billing last Friday that the lineman from Hawaii was lost because of grades. Also said that we lost one other player that was suspended, did not say who. It sounded to me like it was someone who has already been listed in the paper as leaving the team.

He stated that he was done working with the placekickers because it was not good for him or them. He said that Greenberg was the number 1 kicker going into fall practice but that really did not mean much at this point.
