Again, PR, you're cherry picking. I never said he was the
clear-cut no. 1. Yes, I personally believed he was the best option, but I saw the competition and truly believe it was between him and Lider.
How can you state that I am the one who has no basis? You are the one saying Greenberg came out of spring as the no. 1. Where has that been stated? I believe that Lider is still the better option (which is saying something), but Delaney has never officially announced Greenberg as the no. 1. Greenberg was 2/3 on field goals his senior year in high school, with a long of 35 yards, and has kicked one field goal here at Montana. Since you judge Worst off of game play and Greenberg has essentially none in the past 3 years, what is your basis?
I love that Greenberg is grinding it out here, but if I go straight off talent right now, I just don't see it. For the betterment of the team though, I hope I'm wrong.

Sorry, but no one said you said Worst was the "clear cut" no. 1. I just repeated what you had said, and what you later confirmed that you had said. As someone else has pointed out, Delaney has said Greenberg came out of spring ball at no. 1. Brint also after spring ball that he thought Greenberg was no. 1. A played recently told me Greenberg was no. 1. 67% is certainly better than what Worst kicked here. I judge Greenberg by what I've read about him from high school (see link), from watching practices and some scrimmages this spring, from what players have told me since spring ball, and from Delaney saying he came out of spring ball no 1. This is what I said about him above: "Greenberg came out of spring ball as the no. 1 kicker and has apparently been kicking well recently. Greenberg had terrific credentials from high school. Hopefully, he's now on track to step up to be a consistent kicker and more like what UM has had in the past."
"Harrison Greenberg Best Kicker In NW Getting Closer
Lake Oswego’s magical run to their first State Championship would not have been possible without the booming leg ofHarrison Greenberg. The kid can really pound the ball.
His stats included an average kickoff of 64.5 yards, an incredible hang time, and 85 out of 89 PATS Made. He is also a very good FG Kicker but rarely got the chance at LO who rolled through the season.
His size and 4.59 speed make him a big help on the field as that crucial guy who might just need to make a big stop beyond his kicking duties."

"Greenberg went 6 for 7 in field goals and 46 of 49 with Extra Points. He also kicks off and punts too.
While he is above average at all the kicks it is Field Goals where he thinks he can shine the best.

My best last year was 36 yards and many of my field goals were over 30 yards. But I have hit a 53 yarder and many over 50 in camps and work outs,” said Greenberg. “So I am ready when Coach needs me to hit long one in a game.”
Greenberg is mechanically very sound and has a powerful leg. The trademark of any kicker. He is working out 2 times a week with a specialty strength Coach and also trains with two different Kicking coaches when he can."
