Montana vs NAU predictions

Special teams give up a kick return for a TD, allow 2 blocked punts - one returned for TD, allow 2 blocked FG attemps. Even though the Griz actually complete 11 passes for almost 90 yards. NAU takes it 34-21.
That's pretty funny. Do you really think we lose this week though?

Phluffy is full of firsts - no conference title, no playoffs, first to lose to Sac State, maybe he will be the first to lose to Jerome. Think about it.

My prediction for fizz vs Jacks.......... Canada is really sucking air at 7000 ft

other than that its a 50/50 shot

VERY RELIABLE SOURCE: Moore WILL be back THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!
I feel bad for him and all, but he better not be 1st or 2nd string RB. He has a hard time finding a hole. Like a blind man trying to find a 600 lb womans vagina. I can only see him being of any use on ST, defense, or being at RB position for short gains. He's not fast enough for this offense nor does he have the ability to make fast smart decisions. This is just my opinion though. I wasn't going to say anything about him till last game. Before the game I made a promise to myself. If he does bad I'm going to say something and stop holding it back. Unfortunatly he got injured. Anyways I haven't seen anything I've liked from him besides that he tries hard. And sometimes that isn't good enough, especially when you don't have the skill.

I hope you're right griz_this. Dan's a great back running between the tackles and blocking.

jcu - I disagree. Dan's got decent speed for a guy who weighs 235. He's a prototypical fullback and, if we ran a power formation, would be perfect. As it stands, Dan is a great "go-to" in short yardage situations and punishes defenders at the end of his runs. Not to mention he's a model of intensity and hard work - great example for his teammates. Whether he's a starter or not; I can't say. Better question for Grizmayor or Growler...IMO he needs to be on the field in short yardage situations.

ok..

Since you asked, if our illustrious coach ran the two-back offense that he should be using with the personnel he has, Moore would be an incredible lead-blocking FB, opening huge holes for Canada and Peter to run through. Then, we could actually pass to our tight ends, who are one of the strengths of our team, use slant patterns, drag patterns, middle screens that actually work, and shelve the stupid horizontal passing game that Pflu loves so much. Since you asked................. ;)

Who asked what? I totally agree with that post.

Two occasions he should be on the field... lead blocker or pass protection. BB, I gotta go with JCU on this one cuz everything he wrote he plagerized from me. Dan runs hard, but not smart. His helmet print is in the back of many Griz offensive linemen. His lateral movement is invisible. If you're able to go to Grizcentral and watch the replay of the game, you'll notice just before Jordy scored our first TD on the QB draw, that Dan carried the ball on an inside trap. Kistler was leading. Dan was untouched for the first 4-5 yards, but instead of following Kistler to a sure touchdown, he cut back to his left into two PSU defenders. However, on the next play, he ass-canned a Viking at the 3 yard line that allowed Jordy to get by for the TD. I wouldn't disagree with giving him the ball on VERY short yardage plays, but he has to be able to raise his head and show some instinct for finding the crease in the line.

I plagerized from you? HAHA that's funny I've made multiple posts saying the same thign and before you did. I also had these same feelings since I've seen him play. So I didn't take shit from your retard ass and I'm ashamed when I even agree with you on things.

The last two years Griz Luck has won the games for us against the Jacks in the final seconds. We can't have 3-and-outs and fall behind or our Luck might run out. Redzone offense will be the key. Unleash the beasts! Griz 30-24.

Lets not forget that last year NAU got a safety for that bizarre kickoff play that went out the back of the end zone. Would have been interesting to see how that game unfolded if that play had been called correctly...truly one of the biggest crap-outs I've ever seen by a BSC officiating crew. And that's saying a LOT. :?

Ah yes...the phantom safety. I yelled at the TV when they called that...said how incompetent the refs were...and then thought "oh, it's BSC refs, should've known". Last visit to Flag was a barnburner also. Was he out of bounds or not...then interception in the endzone. Getting excited for gameday!!!

Want to be a better predictor of college FB scores? I took the last five years of every FBS score and did some statistical analysis. I couldn't find the equivalent for FCS but I thought these should be close.

What prompted me to do this? BW's prediction of 18 points for NAU (in another thread). My gut said that is a rather unusual score and the below bears that out.

A word of caution about the following, Mark Twain once said: "The three things I hate the most are lies, damn lies, and statistics." so use at your own risk! ;)

Given 9456 scores including 2006-2010, the point total for any one team had this ranking based on occurrence:

If Jordan J doesn't throw for at least 250 yds, the Griz will lose. Moutra has to have the game of his life this week. Jordan Canada will need to rush for at 110 yds as well. If these things happen, the Griz will win by a score of 31-22. They have only scored over 40 once this season and that was against' a very poor team. Their road abilities leave me sceptical.
