Montana vs NAU predictions

I sound like a broken record but I'll say it again.

Take care of the ball, win the TO battle we win the game.

Take care of the ball: Griz 30-17

Griz 17 NAU 28 Sorry but this blanced team will beat you.

i agree nau is balanced, like ssu. the nau-msu game should've been much closer. nau got hosed twice in the first half on pass interference calls. one gave msu a td and the other took a td away from nau. that could've made it 21-17 at the half instead of 28-10. nau then had to scrap their game plan.

if we can have our offense pick up where it left off we'll have a good shot, but i think nau is going to be sharp at the start. nau is a lot like ssu, but i won't give them a blocked punt for a score. if jj can keep from being picked three times like he did vs. ssu, we should be in it.

griz 24
nau 21
in overtime

Griz on the road vs a balanced team... last balanced team they played was Sac St.... ugh... However this time I don't see a post big-game letdown.

Griz win 29-21.

I would have thought that too, but the second half of the PSU game showed that your D is different than the Sac game. You are getting better.

21-10 UM for this game

Not so sure about the Weber game though.

High scoring at 7000 feet. Griz 34-NAU 31. Will be there screaming and yelling in section 210. I will be standing up so if you are behind me...stand your azz up and don't tell me to sit down!!!

I am afraid of Weber for both the Griz and Cats. We have them at home and hopefully that advantage will propel us just enough. In Ogden...will be the toughest game for the Cats also.

Are you high? Did you watch the game? MSU crushed the life out of NAU and caused them to change their plan not the refs. NAU scored on a pick 6 and broken assignment while MSU blew a couple scoring opportunities which could have really swayed the scored. That game could have been much worse for NAU.

That said, if the Griz play solid - they win this going away....

The only concern I have going into this game is whether both Sambrano and Kemp will play. It's pretty clear that Moore will not play, (unfortunately maybe not again in a Griz uniform), but I think there are enough tested running backs to counter this loss, particularly if Donaldson is moved back to offense.

However the loss of both Sambrano and Kemp could severely limit various offensive options this weekend. Although there are a number of good receivers waiting in the wings, there is no one with the experience of Jabin. Even if he does play wide receiver I would doubt they will use him on returns and that alone could be a problem. As for Kemp, there is simply no replacing all that he can do on the field. Thus I hope that both, while maybe not at 100% are at least 87.5%. If that happens I think the Grizzlies win by at least 8, maybe 10.

If neither one can go, this could be a struggle. I still think the Griz will win, but it may be alot closer than it should be.

  87.5 % Excellent! You could also just say 7/8 better!

if you haven't watched the replay, then i understand your response. if you have it dvr'd go to msu's second drive of the game and where it gets to 3rd and 7 watch and you'll see no one touched the msu wr, but pi was called.

The PI doesn't show on the replay, it happened just before the camera moved from the QB to the receiver. While I agree MSU had its usual loss of focus, this was not a close game and like EWU, SSU and PSU, this game was only close because MSU gave up a few big plays. The first NAU TD was a missed int that should have gone back the other way for 6. The long TD pass came on a sell-out and was a missed coverage. If MSU can avoid these lapses all of these wins would have been by at least three scores. The question is whether (1) will MSU lose focus against its upcoming two opponents becasue they are weak and suffer an upset; and (2) will MSU have these same problems against WSU and UM that could cost them either game.

But as for your argument that NAU would have been a closer game except for one PI call, NO.

Griz will continue to struggle on the road under Pflu. They fall behind early like last week, but can not make up ground and lose by 10.

two pi calls. both were bad calls and both went against nau. you don't get those calls and that changes the whole complexion of the game. sure you can say it evened out on the pick six and bomb, but those came later in the game when nau had very little chance to get back in it. msu played very well and i think they would've won either way.

To say the game would have been closer because of one call is ridiculous. If you had seen the game and the NAU players on the sidelines, you would have realized how demoralized they really were. Don't get me wrong, they played hard but they knew it was over when MSU steam rolled them in the 2nd quarter.

In 6 games NAU's averaging 28.2 pts per game.
This will be NAU's homecoming game. Nice scheduling there NAU. :thumb:
Griz are averaging 30.9 pts. per game.
NAU's on a roll...they've lost two games in a row.
At home they are 2 - 1, beating both incredible teams Ft. Loosers and ISU Spudmuffins
Jerome will never beat the Griz.
Jerome's overall winning % is right around 46% since 1998. :loser:
NAU has the awesome stat of having 52 (519 yards) penalties in 6 games.
Griz penalties are a measly 40 (353 yards).
NAU 123 total first downs
Griz 131 total first downs

With a seating capacity of 16,230 the Walkup Skydome is only seeing on average 7,141 peeps attend the Lumberjerk games.

So why not just pick the Griz to win 31-28? Our defense will makes some huge plays, getting some turnovers and some points. The Lumberheads are on a downward slide into the slash pile.

Griz 34
NAU 17 (I'm being generous here.)

VERY RELIABLE SOURCE: Moore WILL be back THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!
I feel bad for him and all, but he better not be 1st or 2nd string RB. He has a hard time finding a hole. Like a blind man trying to find a 600 lb womans vagina. I can only see him being of any use on ST, defense, or being at RB position for short gains. He's not fast enough for this offense nor does he have the ability to make fast smart decisions. This is just my opinion though. I wasn't going to say anything about him till last game. Before the game I made a promise to myself. If he does bad I'm going to say something and stop holding it back. Unfortunatly he got injured. Anyways I haven't seen anything I've liked from him besides that he tries hard. And sometimes that isn't good enough, especially when you don't have the skill.

Got my Pflu shot today. Nurse said it takes two weeks to work so I'm thinking its not going to give me any relief for the NAU game. Griz win 24- 21

bs33, I looked up the word "blanced" and couldn't find any definition. If you meant balanced, you are right, they are balanced, but so are the Griz...but the Griz are better :D .

Griz 35
