I don't remember saying this coach made him an official offer, so are you saying a coach can't discuss a kid when asked about him - when an offer is not even on the table yet? I broached the subject with the coach - not the other way around and why do you reference the Griz AD and program? You falsely assumed the coach I referenced was a Griz. Not the case and there are other BSC conference coaches who are in Montana and travel for certain events. Some of them are even nice people who carry on conversations and talk about football because they understand this is a small state and connections are very important. It is who you know frequently, not what you know. So you keep making your assumptions. Assume. Makes an ass out of you!!!
I never assumed it was the fizz coach, rather I suspected it was another based on the way you put it out, It was the fizz AD that mentioned working toward a culture of compliance, you being a fizz fan It is easy to see that you need education since you have admittedly asked coaches questions which they should not answer, that is a rude thing to do, to put a coach in that position.
I said they might get away with it if they had not offered, I didn't say that it still wouldn't be a minor violation. If that coaches team has or will ever made even an inquiry about the kid then the NCAA could classify him as a possible recruit. All of the coaches I know are aware of this, like I said the standard answer about any kid that has not signed a LOI or is on scholarship is "I cant discuss it". evidently you are not aware that communication with and about recruits is a very touchy situation with the NCAA. I think your AD may have a steep hill to climb with fans like you
