Montana at EWU predictions

I do have to admit the Bobcats looked pretty good in their game. The reason I say that is mainly because I was at my dad's house in East Missoula only to find out that the basic Dish channels don't come with the Griz games. Thank you ROOT, Not. So I am in Missoula and the only game that comes up is that Cat game. Go figure. So they looked great, at least I could see them play.

Really? Who cares how, what, or even if the cats played.

The defense is plenty capable and will score 6.

EWU - 48
Griz - 24 ( 7 turnovers - 5 in second half)

Game tied at half time, but the bad high school coaching staff makes no adjustments and team gives up 21 3rd quarter points (see previous 4 games for 3rd quarter performance)

Have never picked against the Griz and won't start now. My heart won't allow it.

Simple, EWU is going to be damn tough to beat even on a good day. However we have the tools in the shed to do it but not if we give them several extra possessions. Just like in both losses the turnovers were killers.
Key to this game will be ball control and by doing that we will be able to limit the time their offense is on the field. 10 turnovers in two losses?? That is the primary problem guys. If we can't do a better job of keeping the ball then its not only going to be a long game but a long season with a very abrupt ending.
This game is huge for this early in the season. Its pretty much a must win to salvage the rest of the season in my opinion. After this game if we have two losses in conference the only other ranked team we would likely see the rest of the season would be in the brawl, and a win there may not be enough to get far enough up the food chain to claim a post season.

Play clean??

Won't predict the other way other than to say it would be uuuuuuuuuglly

So funny, it seems like no one watched the 1st half of the game last week. We were totally kicking ass AND had NAU on the ropes even with the 75 yard touchdown run and the on side kick. Trent looked great throwing the ball the offense looked pretty darn good. Hell, we get Kemp back this week, we are pretty heathly, and we will have more butts in the seats than the Beagles. I think we will be able to build off of that first half and hopfully not turn the ball over as much. If we put 4 quarters together no one will beat us not even the mighty Beagles. I feel pretty good going into this game. I bet the crowd we send to Eastern will be louder than the one we have at home and you will see a much better 2nd half. GO GET EM GRIZ!

So you guys know how to run up a score. Congrats. Look at the stats and tell me with a straight face we didn't "Roll" UNC.

Taking shots at a rival when you're down and have Eastern staring you in the face is a little sad, I think.

I don't like emoticons but this is as good as I can do, :| straight face, you didn't "roll" UNC, here is the box score to that game of ours, only 25% of those points came after half time. Not really running up a score...and actually, 10 of your 41 came after half time as well so you ran up the score as well...I don't see it. With the team you're supposed to have this year you should be able to say you should have won by 50 easily.
http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=293390149

So we had a 176-6 advantage in total yards and a 21-0 lead before many of us got in our seats. We took the foot off the gas and still won convincingly.

41-16 is kinda "rolling" if you ask me. Maybe you guys should worry a little more about trying to maintain a lead, if you can get up on Eastern that is.

BTW, I think you will this week with your backs against the wall

UM - 36
EWU - 35

I retract my previous shit talking
u picked Griz to win....ur cool

    :) Good one, i second that

EWU scores most of their points in the first half, 44 vs 28 in the 2nd so far this year, so the Griz really need to clamp down early on D. Coyle, Tripp, Wagenmann & Tully combined for 47 tackles last game, I only see more from these guys at EWU. 5 sacks last week. 5 or more this week. Griz will actually score in the 3rd quarter, something they haven't done since their 1st game. If the Griz O comes out like last week and can maintain that rhythm in the 2nd half (The critical 3rd Qtr) Griz win a close one on that time of the month turf.

My emotional prediction the day after the NAU loss was 55-21 EWU.

Now that I’ve had some time to settle down and absorb, 35-21 EWU.
